I was trying to remember which other disaffected celebrity Aker reminded me of, when he used the phrase "conga line". Now the resemblance couldn't be clearer.

Mmm, Aker strikes me as pathetic rather than nasty/scary.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

          Agreed, well spotted!

That was hilarious (and cringeworthy). The media is going to love this.

Sounds like Smorgon and Eade are the guys who lied.

They told Aker he would have a clean slate when they were convincing him to play in 2010, but then they used his indiscretions prior to 2010 against him and sacked him after he did everything they asked him to.

Yeah I was. He was easily in their best 22.

And so is Wankermanis. Each to their own.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I think Acker is a wanker

                        However...

I'm on his side on this occasion

                          I'm definitely on Acker's side.

Acker's problem is that he says what's on his mind, and many people can't handle that in this PC world.

He doesn't speak in cliches or platitudes. Trouble is, people in the public eye are expected to. And when someone is honest about something they're unhappy about they're labeled as 'bitter'.

You know things are @#$%ed up when the media sings the praises of Ben Cousins, and condemns Jason Ackermanis.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

I said in anotehr thread that it would be fun to go out drinking with Fev.
for all his faults, he seems like a pretty fun guy who doesn't really intentionally go out to harm his team, but he simply can't control himself well enough.

Acker on the other hand seems to love walking that fine line and being controversial for the sake of it.
It was fun and refreshing for a while to have such an honest assessment of things, but he now seems full of malice and spite (even before he was sacked)
I think I lean towards the Brad Johnson side of this, and I think Brad is pretty much a tool himself....
