I suggest that the players dugout be renamed

- because its where players who 'bleed' for the Bloods go for repairs...as Kirky did many times
- still have the memory of him being knocked out when he was (accidentally) kicked...and later in the quarter coming back out, still obviously affected, and walking back along the boundary to rapturous applause and sitting in the dugout

The Brett Kirk mung bean plantation - a little patch on the western flank, where no one is allowed to enter during a match.

maybe a meditation circle with some comfy bean bags right next to the interchange bench so as players can have a "mini regroup" whilst waiting to go back on the field.

....or a meditation mat on top of the scoreboard so he can sit cross legged during home games to keep an eye on things and pray to the footy gods when we play the pies.

I like the idea of the benches being named the Brett Kirk Memorial "You Owe Us" Bench.....works for me.

I favour a punching bag in the Swans Gym with Kirk as Maitreya Bodhisattva painted on it. A fat always happy jolly man with a bag of gifts for the future,a genuine Buddhist Father Christmas watching over the Bloods.He is willing to absorb all the anger of others and will even let spit dry rather than wipe it off his face.This Bodhisattva is extraordinary in happiness, giving, patience, and compassion. He has been conferred by prediction of the Buddhas that he will be the next Buddha of this world. When the dharma has completely been forgotten in this world, and the world has ended by human evils, the Maitreya Bodhisattva will attain full and equally proper enlightenment to that of all buddhas, and be the next buddha to teach this world, earth. He will introduce the Buddha Dharma just as Shakyamuni Buddha introduced the Buddha Dharma to this world as Siddhartha.

Very appropriate in my opinion and the perfect honour for an ex warrior who has hung up his boots
