    Sheahan's Top 50

I know a lot of us don?t value Mike?s (or the HUN for that matter) opinion too highly but it is always good to see Swans? name in a ?Top ___? list.
    Top 50 - 50 to 21

    50. Mummy
    45. Reg (very good to see)
    34. Goodes
    30. Kizza

I don?t understand how Jolly got to #27 though. I s?pose if the Pies were still stuck using Fraser they wouldn?t have made the GF.

Mummy>Jolly this year. Jolly was good for half a year. Mummy was good the whole year.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

24 goals drifting forward is why Jolly rated so highly. Mummy has yet to be that dangerous in the forward 50 ...... but it will come

Good to see KJ get recognition for his great season

It will, I don't recall Jolly kicking too many goals in his early years with us.
It was only in his latter years that he became a dangerous forward option.

I always thought Jolly was a bit of a goalscorer. He kicked three goals in his first game for us and that beautiful boundary shot in the GF.

Jolly's move to Melbourne has made for a useful measure of Melbourne footy media parochialism. I doubt he has played any better this year than in his previous couple of years with the Swans.

Reg's appearance was a pleasant surprise. Seeing Lenny Hayes at number 5, (and no issues there), just shows how absurd it was to leave him out of the Team of the Year.

At the end of the day the Sheahan's list twice a year list is both compellable and silly. It's one man's opinion, assessing that say, Brian Lake at 13 is a better player than say, Alan Didak at 14. How can you possibily make such a call? Better to just list the 50 in no particular order.

Yep, if anything he was better in 2009 than this year yet Sheahan is putting him at 27? Regardless of the goals he kicked, Mumford was one of the top 3 ruckmen this year. Still, I'm not surprised.

Sandilands, Jamar and Mummy - probably in that order too.
