Did I hear somewhere that Beau Dowler was training with the Swans? He's been delisted by Hawthorn so might be the recycled player you're referring too.

Glad to hear we're taking an interest in a player thats in their early 20s rather than late, probs talented and just needs a new start . Last one we took that was youngish and been at another club ... Maybe Luke Brennan? Another played drafted first round and de-listed by Hawthorn. Obviously not including players that age who we traded in.

Brennan, Aaron Rogers (Demons), Guy Campbell (Dons?), only other ones of the Roos' era? All rookie draft. Anyway. I think inviting Dowler and others like him that have a potential 10 years of footy to try out is a good thing.

Not quite. Spriggs came our way in 2004 (#47 ND) from Geelong and my records show that we drafted Campbell from Bendigo, not from Essendon.

Oh yes Spriggs. Didn't get much of a go his second year and his first he was coming off a knee reco yeah? (Re: Campbell) Mmm maybe he was considered by Essendon or something?

That's because he was a rookie.

Are the veterans listed inside or outside the senior list?
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Seriously poor social life. Has to keep occupied somehow. Hey laughingnome, what's the latest count on the number of beards Goodes has had since playing in the seniors?

What started as a comparison between Terry Wallace's and Paul Roos' recruiting during their tenure at different clubs (as yet another way of showing that Roos is so much more awesome than Wallace) quickly developed into a detailed list of all the Sydney Swans' changes since 1986 (that is, every player that was added/dropped from the list, how they were added/dropped (draft, rookie, retired, traded, etc) and what club they came from/went to. It's about half done as there is a lot more evidence on players drafted than those delisted, but I chip away at it every once in a while.

Sure, it's a bit anal but it's nice to have as a reference source for questions like Bleed Red Blood asked.

Dunno about that: I could think of many worse hobbies!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

We've taken four off the main list (Ves is a swap for Everitt) and Pyke is an upgrade leaving us just three picks at the ND. If we want to go more than that then we will have to move Goodes and/or J Bolton to Vets outside the list.
