    Lewis Johnston's Draft

I like Lewis' writing. It's straightforward, unpretentious and gives you a tangible feel of what's happening. If his play is anything like his prose, I'll be pleased.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

At least some things were the same as usual:

we all sat around and tuned in to the live coverage on the AFL website. I struggled to get it working,

Got my fingers crossed for Lewis in that I hope he gets through the pre-season with no setbacks.

Could be a big surprise packet in 2011 (no surprise for us on RWO, but more the AFL fan).

Same. An excellent pre-season could have him in the mix for round one.
