    Mattner vs C.Bolton

if all players are available in the backline......do you think we will see Craig and Marty in the 22 together in 2011 ?

Hard to say. It will depend on our injury list and Craig Bolton's fitness. If Craig is fit and we had a low injury list, I don't think there is room for both of them in the backline.

We would be a fairly predictable and relatively slow backline with both of them in it, along with Reg and LRT.

Run out of the backline is important in the modern game, but run can only be achieved when the ball is won and the opposition attack is stopped. A defenders first job is to defend and teams that win the ball in the backline consistently find outlets. I don't know who should be picked maybe Reg, LRT, C Bolton, Malceski, Smith and Mattner?

I could argue several others and that is great as the selectors need to pick on form and that will dictate who is there. If everyone is fit and in good form there is also the option to pick players depending on match ups for different opposition.

          Yes.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

            Longmire a few days ago:

"Craig's confident that he'll be fine," he said.

"He's running again now. He's at the point [where] he's confident that he'll be right for round one.

"Two years ago he's an All-Australian centre half-back, so we're really confident that he's going to be OK.
            "

I really hope this is true. If he's fit, I still think Bolton should be the first defender picked every week.

In 2009 Leon Davis, Simon Goodwin and Brendan Fevola were all Australian too. 12 Months is a long time in footy.
