Catching a tram to the SCG

I used to live at Baulkham Hills about 20 years ago and my Mum lives at Schofields so I haven't experienced traffic out that way for a long time. Schofields is getting a new train station about 600 metres from the old one and in the middle of no where. Effectively stops any elderly that can walk to the train now. Work that out.

I imagined the special bus lanes were OK at least to Parramatta. It sounds like a difficult situation.

Ah, yes, the logic that is applied to current day public transport is mind boggling!
I don't know what I'm whinging about, February next year I will become a Central Coastian like your good self and I will never again have to worry about the state (or lack of) public transport in the north west.

I guess I'll then be able to start complaining about the F2(?)!

It's F3. It's a nightmare at times. Especially on a thursday night when there seems to be more B-doubles than cars. All speeding naturally. Fortunately, I've never been one of the unlucky ones to have been trapped for 2 days on the F3 during bushfires. Not so lucky in terms of accident delays when it took me 4 hours to get to Hornsby. That is normally just under 30 minutes.

Apart from that, welcome to the Central Coast. You'll have to let me know where you are and we can get together and travel to games if numbers allow. I'm at West Gosford at the moment.

I drive because I couldn't be bothered with the train. It's getting home from games at night is a problem because the train from Strathfield only goes on the hour.

However day train trips are OK and it is a very beautiful ride as you go along the Hawkesbury.

You'll love living up here. People come here for holidays and I live here and can enjoy everything the Central Coast has to offer - every day!

Really looking forward to it, it's been years in the planning and to have it finally coming to fruition is a dream come true!
