    Which game next year?

    Merry christmas everyone.
As you may or may not know I live in Coffs Harbour, a good 500k's north of Drivers avenue and I got a pretty cool present from Santa.
An all expenses paid trip, with my old man, to Sydney to see the boys play at home.
Now the tricky bit is choosing which game to go to. Do I pick a game with a pretty good chance of a win, say round 8 against the Power, or do I go for a game we aren't expected to win, round 4 against the Cats (although they may not be crash hot next year, it is just an example)?
I have to do it early to get cheap flights.
Any suggestions (I am obviously leaving out Homebush, would you go there if it was your only game?)

The Cats game should be a cracking match with hopefully a 30,000+ crowd so that's the one I'd go to.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I like the atmosphere at SCG always a good support for the guys and sometimes helps them get going for the game. It is a personal choice and depends where you are staying city or close to Homebush.
Probably SCG game a good choice for maybe after the game to go to Club swans. Depends on your age.
You can catch another Swans game maybe too - from Coffs to Gold Cost 3.5 hours would be worth the trip.
      Love those Swans

I would make the sat night cats game as it is going to be a whole new setup and unpredicatable with a new coach and star player no longer part of the setup. Get there realy early and catch the new generation play the reserves game, bound to be a number of seniors in the mix as we now have a lot of them already blooded. That leaves you sunday to enjoy the vibe, good or bad, depending on outcome.

        Nice present!

Cats. Early in the season, still lots of unknowns, Saturday night at SCG... all good!

Goldy game is already booked. I just hope they play there every year.

                I'd say the Cats game.

Thank God the mugpies wasn't a choice.

We have to beat one of them next year.

You'd be mad to miss the Carlton game......

Then you get a cple of days to have a cruise around Sydney.

They're selling tour packages to take you around Sydney on the exact route that Oprah took. It's called the Oprah Discovery Tour. Purchase through Ticketek.

Thanks for the input and all the positive vibes for the Cats game.
Unfortunately that is during the school holidays and there were no cheap flights for that one.
Also Sundays are out as it would be cutting it close to get away from the celebrations at the SCG on time for the last flight out.
For those and a couple of other reasons I have had to choose the Port game. One plus is that the reserves are playing the Suns reserves, in the NEAFL, before the game.
Hopefully I will get to meet some fellow RWOers on the day.

I lived in Sydney for about 8 years before moving to Coffs Harbour 4yrs ago, the footy is the only drawcard for me now.

I have just been informed that my in-laws neighbours, who are members, are out of town when we play the Power. They have offered me their seats somewhere in the Brewongle Stand, yay!
