Yep...if I had to bet my house on it its the Pies for premiers in 2011 and daylight second. Malthouse will want to go out on a high and again they have a dream run. Very hard to back anyone else IMO.

I like our chances this year, the youngsters are exciting & with a bit of luck our experienced players will have processed their injuries & be fully fit. I am just a bit peeved that the NAB Cup game is on the 5th Feb as it is my birthday & am having a party at home. Even more peeved looking at the TV Fixture that only FOX will be covering the game, silly really I thought the AFL were trying to promote the game in the Northern States. Oh! I forgot games at 1am in the morning Oh Dear, delayed telecast of Swans games from interstate, great promotion AFL. I am now living in Sydney so will be getting membership this year Yea! Going to all home games.

At the moment on sportsbet we are 9th in the betting for the flag. Looks like the underside of the radar will be getting a workout again this year.

Stuns me that Hawks are third favourites, I just don't get it.
One good season!!! If ever it could be said a team were "lucky" to win a flag, it was them in 08. Cats blew it, plain and simple.
Buddy and/or Hodge goes down and they're stuffed!

Dead right. and I fail to see how Adelaide and Carlton are ranked ahead of us too. Must have crazy supporters betting lots of money on them.

People think we are that tired team of old campaigners who just play congested defensive football.A style easily overcome . They don't know who the rising star was and our young brigade are unknown to them. They don't believe we came 5th last year and if Bradshaw had kicked straight we were into the Preliminary.THIS IS ALL GOOD !!!
The more they knock us the more we can surprise them.

Especially considering Carlton were our bitches in 2010, and wasn't it beautiful!

I don't bet on sports and rarely look at the odds for any sporting contest so it's of little concern to me where we're ranked. Although I'd bet 6/4 that a lot a people take it seriously.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

My girlfriend and her entire family are avid Carlton supporters, so I really hope this continues this year.

Just stumbled on this picture on google image seach, Parker being tackled and Vez looking on.
Who'd have thought it would turn out as it did....

Luke looks like a good size and reasonable build. Maybe good hope for the future or depending how he goes may break into seniors this year??
                            Love those Swans

I read or heard somewhere that they are usually trying to get their new guys INTO the gym a lot.
With Luke, they're trying to keep his gym time to a minimum cos he is already plenty big...doesn't need any more on him at the minute.
If his skills are up to it, his body could handle the rigours of senior footy.
