I LOVE the idea of a sea of red ponchos! Imagine how good the wave would look with all those red arms.

I think St Kilda supporters have red, white and black striped ponchos - are they supplied by the club or do the fans buy them? They look pretty good and I agree Swans ponchos would look better. And we would sure use them down in the O'Reilly concourse.... Nice idea...

I love the stuff the club supplies with my membership and I treat them as nice little extras - I am buying the right to attend every Swans home game and to see the boys put it all on the line for the club. The hat, fridge magnet, stickers etc etc are all extras in my mind....

I do like the poncho idea. That and a cap, and I'd be happy. I mean, and the seating of course.

A scarf at some membership level or alternate years to hats would be good.

A tougher slogan would be better, something revolving around Thunder.

          Ponchos would be ace.

I prefer to get the pack in mid-February for two reasons:
1 - Give it to me in December and I might lose it before I need it
2 - It gets the nerves jangling. The off-season is like a long, drawn out tease before the act begins all over again. Getting that pack in the mail says, "Hold on! We're almost there and it's going to be AWESOME!"

Especially considering the presence of NAB Matches in Sydney, I would very much like it if my pack arrived on or before Feb 18. But anytime in January is simply too early.
I sooooooo agree with you chuckles on the timing of the packs arrival - mid Feb is PERFECT!
I get a tingle up the spine when I find it in the letterbox cause that's the sign - WE'RE THERE!!!!!!!!

The club could include a voucher so you collected your correct size at season's start along with the hat. Imagine a sea of shiny red plastic in the concourse and lower stands. Wicked! (Larissa?)
What a bloody brilliant idea - Poncho!
I did the field of woman thingy at ANZ a few years ago and the ones we got that night were great. They had a hood with a draw string and studs down the sides so you could throw it over quickly and not battle trying to find the holes - those in red would be excellent!

Al, they're pretty handy walking to and from the car, bus train etc and easier to stow than a brolly.

Love the wall idea Prims, that would look awesome on the telly!

And I love the slogan - plain, simple, says it all!
When your team is called "Swans", it's pretty hard to make it sound tough!

Re the slogan: Love your Swans is preaching to the converted. I think that a slogan should rally existing members plus attract new ones. It should also contain an element of WII-FM (what's in it for me). I thought that Every member counts was one of the worst.

In 2006, the year after our Grand Final win had we had a slogan like Share the Glory we may have attracted many more new members.

Maybe we could use the combined intelligence and passion of RWOers to come up with possible slogans for submission to the Club?

                What about:
Join the Sydney Swans = Enjoyment each game day.
                Love those Swans

Very good. Love it. Maybe even 'Sydney Swans - It's in our Blood' as a variation. Your theme is the one I would be running with - nice work : )

Isn't that a slogan the club has used very recently?

Probably. Ha! That's why it sounded good : )

I've been known to have one of the worst memories going around. Drugs and alcohol are bad, bad things.
