    2011 Midfield Riches

With the retirement of Kirk and a little less midfield time for aging warrior Jude Bolton, who would be your choice for the starting midfield. His mine.

    Ruck: Mumford
    RR: Goodes
    Rover:K Jack
    Centre: Kennedy

    First change:
    Ruck: Seaby/Pyke
    RR: O'Keeffe
    Rover: Hanners
    Centre:J McVeigh

    Next best (in any order):Seaby/Pyke, R Shaw, B Meredith, C Bird, J Bolton, B McGylnn, L Jetta, J Moore, N Smith.

That gives us at least 14 players that would have the capability to rotate through the midfield.

    Untried: L Parker, B Sumner, J Lamb.

Some astute recruiting over the last few years.

I'd like to see Smithy given a run in the Mid at some stage. I just rewatched the last 4 games of last year and Pykie deserves a spot in the best 22. Maybe he could have a run at full back if LRT doesn't come up.

I would also add in the Eski.

I think Hanners and Jack should work together at every centre bounce as possible. Add Goodes or Kennedy and we have about the best 3 combo at centre clearances in the business.

How quickly has Jared McVeigh become redundant....maybe he should retire!!!

For the past couple of years he has had one of the oppositions best mid-defenders on him. Now with the emergence of Jack and Hanners he may get a little more leeway(sp?)?
