I'm really looking forward to it. Giving up the Saturday night dance party for the footy though. However, if the raw food gods were being generous and I got a very good invitation to attend, I might even miss the footy. I'd imagine there would be significantly more young veges than geriatric ones so the footy is a very good bet. Unfortunately miss Fans Day but what price good health

As much as I live for the Swans, I'm not that interested in giving money to the blacktown bogans. I'll protest where it hurts the hardest for them ... the hip pocket!
I'm hoping they'll chuck a Roosey and not win the game.
The ansett cup and the exhibition matches seriously aren't important enough to risk an injury to a senior player prior to the H&A games.
I'd rather they play a granny at the end of September than at the beginning of March.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

The money doesn't just go to GWS. It does support the Swans as well.
Pre-season is a necessary evil so there is no choice.
I'd rather they NOT play like grannies at any time.

I'd be very surprised if any money collected at the gate at the blacktown bogan's home ground goes to the swans.
We seriously don't need the ansett cup. Seriously.
I'd DIE if we lost hanners for the season to injury, for instance. (Footy gods ... I am NOT putting the mokka, so leave him alone!!)

Agreed but I'm more than happy to scrap this pre season cup nonsense and just have 3 trial matches to get the guys ready for Rd 1.

Ah, but why do that when there is money to be made off a pre-season? < /afl >

Well of course I should have added to my post that the Not Another Bank Cup won't be scrapped for this very reason.

Game will be sold out so there won't be any money collected at the gate. It will be via ticketmaster. Prince Vlad will divide the booty.

All teams are exposed to the same pre-season formula and players can get hurt just as easily in trial, inter-club or training days as they can in the NOB Cup. Just ask Freo fans about Moribito.

Now that you have mentioned Hanners and injury, you'll be held fully repsonsible for any injuries incurred. Anyway, who said he's playing in the pre-season anyway. Isn't he still in rehab?

Kirky won't make the first game and is finished for the year already.

Was there supposed to be a password sent on Friday to Swans members so we can get tickets?

I didn't receive but then again I may not have notified my recent my e-mail address change.

Appreciate if someone/lots of people could PM me the password as I'm driving up from Adelaide for a few days to catch the action.

                          Thanks in advance

The notices said that fox are doing the coverage.

Can anyone tell me if this means that only people with access to Foxtel will be able to watch the game on tv? And that the less financially fortunate will miss out altogether?

I'll be there! Tickets purchased. Really enjoyed last year, standing on the hill on a beautiful evening, drinking beer and hanging out with good friends. Looking forward to the resident redhead, Jets and a few of the other young kids getting excited about playing footy again.
