Good choices, and congratulations to both.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I don't know if any others still have it, but Sydney was the first in 2005 after Maxfield went down, yes.

I am pleased that Macca got appointed. I think that we should have retained the 3 captains option and my preference is Keiren "Cracka" Jack. He wears his pride on his shirt and gives 110% and IMO he could be the next and should have been given a go to be a leader and I feel he as leadership written all over him!

McVeigh is an interesting choice. Goodes was a given. I still don't understand why we need 2 or even 3 captains and then have a leadership group on top of that.

However, congratulations to the both of them and hopefully the promotion will help Macca step up to another level - that being elite.

I'm feeling in my bones that we are going to have a better year than many expect. Imagine a year without major long term injuries.

Well I'm being extremely positive this year as I buggered up my kids membership and they have the Grand Final guarranteed option membership. In otherwords, I want return on my extra money guys!!!!!!
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Hopefully being Captain will inspire Mc Veigh to perform a bit better in this years finals than he did last year.

A big win for fans of facial hair too, with both of our co-captains being bearded. Is this the AFL's first ever bearded captaincy team? Single captains such as Michael Tuck obviously don't count.

All 3 have beards, all 3 debuted within a few months of their 19th birthday, Goodesy and Jarrad combined have played 423 whilst Tuck played 426 games. Holy buggerydoo, we've just named Michael Tuck as captain!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                  Well done McHack

Geez there's a few on RWO who made a premature call on this bloke
Good grief. I'll never drive fast again!!!

Onya McHack. I'm so happy for ya.
It's been a big couple of years for you, and I only hope things get bigger and better.

                  Well done.

Didn't Brisbane have co-captains from 1997 to 2000? Voss and Lynch methinks....

I like it! Congrats MacFey, as the Irish commentators like to call him.

Toldyers. Well I am happy, so that's all that matters really.

Well done Macca, good for you Goodsey. It will be a great combine.

I follow your logic...so every time either of them get a possession we shout out "Oh Tuck"
