    Swans Fan Day

Watch the video and look out for the brilliant question from the little tike in the Q&A. Classic.

I think you could be right there, Scott.

I wish I could have gone out there yesterday but, for the second year in a row I had to work.

It was a fun day! Though aside from seeing Annie way ahead of me in line to pester Kieran Jack, and later Big Al in the distance inside the SCG just before the team presentation, I have no idea if I interacted with any RWOers (if anyone wondered who the guy in the rather incongruous Bela Bartok t-shirt was, that was me). I was so sundazed I think I had Mr McVeigh sign my cap twice.

I did get to pet Brian the female echidna (see the latest Richards Report) though.

Wish I could have made it but suffered from Post Blacktown Meltdown, and another serve of heat/humidity just wasn't going to cut it for this couger.

What did you think of our new caps? I was just so pleased the ptb listened to our plea for red caps this year.

            Love the Red caps.

Got the seat cushions as well although I thought they were a bit thick until my nephew showed they were actually folded in half.

So the cushions are thick, just the recipient.

When the intricacies of cushion technology are explained to you by a 9 year old that's pretty much a given.

I think Horse snuck himself into a Volkswagon green screen photo, had a chuckle when I saw him. The photos can be found on the volkswagen facebook page.

                    Best fan day ever.
I went and introduced myself to Matt Spangher with a hug and a welcome to the family.
A little later on, I lined up to get signatures from the guys sitting in the tent around the back.
I'd done LRT, and had moved on to hug Teddy hello. Teddy went to introduce me to Matt Spangher, and Matt says, yeah, I did her out the front.
LAUGH!!! We cried it was so funny.
                    My reputation is in tatters.

I was fortunate enough to be a "friend" for a person who won a tour of the rooms. Lucky, lucky me!!
We were first cabs off the rank, and our tour guides were Goodesy, ROK, Reg and Myke Pyke. Funniest. Tour. Ever. Myke was talking us through the gym equipment, and there was this guy there who had obviously never been an an AFL game - ever. He asked Myke Pyke if he was the conditioning coach, and Pykey says, "no, I'm a player". Every time I passed one of they boys, I just had to ask them if they played footy. Goodesy thanked their new conditioning coach at the end of it. Hilarious.

Did anyone see the line that Kizza had??? All day long the line was at least 50 people long.
I just had to bag him about it, and point out to the other players that Kizza had a line and they didn't. The others thought it was funny.

Allegedly, Gary Rohan plays netball like a girl. In the volkswagon "poster" they were handing out yesterday, Ranga is hanging off the back of one of the cars. It's a great shot. I love it.

Andrejs Everitt is the spitting image of Spida. As Kenny said, "sure hope he can play like Spida".
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

In related news Matt Spangher has asked for an immediate transfer back to Perth.

                            He has not.
He loves it here. He said so. Even if you just can't escape the humidity.
He now thinks Perth is a hay bale country town.

The Fan Day was fantastic. The family and I had a great day. My Swans-mad 5yo daughter got the only autograph she wanted on her cap - Cyggy. She had her face painted, jumped on the castle, slid down the slide and generally had a super time. My son was racing all over the place getting his shirt signed by the players, and he and I went on a locker room tour with our guides Mummy, Bevo, Nick Smith and Careful With That Axe Eugene Kruger. We were also interviewed by some dude from 2GB - apparently there's some spot on air on 19 March after 11am. Dunno if anyone knows what that's about?

Anyway, a great day was had despite the heat. I was already looking forward to the season but now I'm very excited. Not sure how much use I'll get out of the seat cushion though...
