What the ? If the AFL is serious about the game succeeding in Sydney they need every game on FTA.. (Sorry to quote you)Comment

I'm pretty sure that all Sydney games will be played on FTA. The AFL had this as a condition of the broadcast rights as part of their strategy to develop the game in NSW. At the very least, this is a condition of the current rights which expire at the end of this season. I also think there's a requirement that these games be shown live or only on a short delay.
Remember, that they are investing a lot with the new Western Sydney franchise and it would be counterproductive if they dumped Sydney games from FTA.
What's interesting is how they will handle the next broadcast rights, which coincide with the entry of GWS into the comp. Will part of the condition be that all GSW AND Swans games be shown on FTA? If that happens, you would expect the stations to dump one of their usual non-Sydney games that are shown. Otherwise, that's a lot of AFL on FTA up here in Sydney.
DanCaptain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sectorComment

Although I doubt you'd get more than a gold star for predicting it, Roosy will sit 'On the Couch' with Gerard and Mike for 2011. It stood out likes dogs, but nice to hear it confirmed.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

It was in the TV Guide Sydney that Ten was planning a Sunday night AFL show called The Final Siren co-hosted by Chris Grant. Sounds like a wrap of the round or perhaps the day's action and I hope we get to see it here too.Comment

Looks like those of us in Sydney and Brisbane will get to see The Final Siren every Sunday night at 7pm on ONE HD.
Updated: AFL fans sure are getting smothered for choice. Two more are on the way, this time from ONE.
Also looks like we also get Carlton vs Richmond live next Thursday night on ONE HD.
