Confirmed: Bradshaw not playing Rd 1

Longmire did confirm that key forward Daniel Bradshaw had been ruled out of contention for round one after suffering knee soreness last week and could not specify when he would return.

Kennelly and LRT not playing the reserves game this weekend, but apparently not ruled out for Rd 1.

The "can't specify when he will return" thingy isn't good.

Someone mentioned it already but if after 6months of recuperation the knee is still no good Plan B must become Plan A. Let's plan a forward line without Bradshaw. His dicky knee will always make his reliability uncertain. When he can play it will be a bonus but lets realistically plan a game plan without him.

No surprise. With Goodes and our new three ruckman trick we're not short of marking targets up forward. We do need White to step up, though.

              Hi RogueSwan,
Can you advise how bad Jarred Moore's injury looked last Saturday? I see that in the injury update he is listed as "test".

I couldn't agree more...and while we're at it, we'd better get used to the idea of not having regular contributions from Kennelly, Bird, or Craig Bolton. With Bird and Bolton, it's just unfortunate that any kind of foot injury takes ages to heal properly.

Hopefully he can get it together, but the vague "knee soreness" is a concern.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

LRT and Tiger both trained well this morning...took part in all drills and some solid one on ones bouncing off coaches with pads. Both participated in short match drills as well.Would not ignore their chances for Rd 1 just yet.

While dissappointed that Bradshaw may not be the linch pin in a Premiership assault, what an opportunity this now presents to White and one of the ruckmen. Along with Goodes we have 3 major focal points for marking. How the game plan organises them I don't know but at least we have the personel for marking in the Forward line. For crumbers we have TDL and Mc Glynne while for pace and dash we have Jetta bursting into the forward line and Rohan could also have a role there. There's a lot of upside to this team to make a supporter excited about 2011.

Sadly, I think it's game over for Bradshaw.
