    I'm inclined to agree with you, though that could be a case of seeing it often or positive recall (only remembering the good bits). Unfortunately, Champion Data considers HO to Advantage proprietry information and as such the information is not readily available without forking cash.

    If Pyke can't get a game, does anyone know if he is eligible to play for the Canada Northwind in the International Cup this year?

      Don't get me wrong I like both Seaby and Pyke, but to use averages over Pykes 18 games is a bit harsh given the lack of experience he had when he started and the improvement he has shown since.

      I think Seaby is a great option as he has good ability to sneak forward and kick goals. I love the way Pyke dedicated himself to the task and turned himself into an AFL level player.

      Mummy is obviously number 1 the other two are a good problem to have, but I'm glad it's Horses problem. Will just have to pick the best combination or individual based on the opposition as he sees it.

      In relation to the question I would be extremely surprised if there wasn't circumstances that required Pyke to play firsts during the year (whether it be injury or suspension or justified by form).

      May not be a serious option (in the poll) but after the effort he has put in and seeing him learn the game with the Swans it would be a sad day if he went elsewhere especially to GWS.

        Pyke will get games this year - notwithstanding injuries, which are likely, I would put money on Mummy getting another suspension sometime this year. He did a few slightly naughty things in last weekend's game, and although I love the level of aggression he plays with, he's bound do overdo it at some stage in the eyes of the umpires and/or the MRP.

Remember that Seaby was in stellar form for the opening 5 games he played. Pyke is a very VERY good 3rd ruckman to have, but will remain in the two's until such a time that;
          a) One of Mumford or Seaby is forced out by injury/suspension,
          b) Pyke's around the ground abilities equal or surpass Seaby's, either as a KP Forward or Back,
          c) Pyke's ruckwork becomes so outstanding that he forces his way into the team on that alone.

          The unfortunate thing is no one is sure how much more Pyke will glean from the NEAFL. In the last two years he's been required to play seniors (8 in 2009, 18 in 2011) and in my mind there is no doubt the higher level is partly responsible for his rapid development.

          2010 Comparisons (averages):
          *Brisbane not counted as a game as he played under 5 minutes.
          I looked at how Mike improved, using his last 5 vs Seaby's first 5. There isn't a vast jump by Mike when looking at avg's. Though he had some cracker games (rd 21,22,elim). Consistency will come, and as said he will only get better playing in the firsts. How he gets there is the question

                One option I thought of but didn't articulate (because it seemed so unlikely) was that they rotated the three of them, so I'm happy.
