Swans coverage by ch 7 in sydney last week was time right.
But how many times the cameras went up high and then zoomed down - at leat half the game we saw the game from the air could not even read numbers on the shirts.
Wake up 7 coverage quality is the lowest of efforts and viewer enjoyment.
Im not a fan of 7 at all, their delayed starts to Friday night games at 8.30 is poor (especially when the game is over by the time it is half time on the TV) and I cant stand Bruce as a commentator.....why wouldnt this game be live into melb??? Hopefully they lose the rights.
While I'd prefer to watch the game live, obviously, I don't really care too much either way. I still get to see the game - it just means I have to avoid the internet until the end of the telecast (I started playing on my phone a 3/4 time of the Collingwood NAB Cup game and without thinking went on Facebook and saw an update from the Swans about losing by 14 points. I was totally enthralled up until that point as it looked like we might steal the win).
if Ch 7 "love the Footy" so much - why to they hate the people that watch it by treating us like morons and not play it live?
All to do with the old mantra of having the footy as a lead in to their news at 6pm. This household will now refuse to watch Channel 7 news any day. I would imagine Essendon supporters would be even more livid given the bandwagon is overflowing right now.
The Ch 7 coverage is atrocious. I can only echo the comments about the camera angles chose - it frustrates me no end watching their coverage of games. A ball will be in a contest and spill free, yet they will still have this tight angle so you have absolutely no idea of what is around the player chasing the ball down - are they under pressure, inheaps of space, have teammates around? And don't even get me started on their contempt for fans with their scheduling.
I'd be happy if 10 and Fox had the rights to themselves...
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
What about the interviewing of Green(?) whilst Hanners was going for goal? Unbelievable!!!
If it wasn't just fluff it may have been OK. The commentator should have said "Do u think u may get a kick Brad, or will Marty Mattner continue to pull ya pants down for the rest of the afternoon?"
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09
