Doesn't sound good news for the Sheriff and already contemplating life after footy.

Well we all weren't expecting him to play much this year so it's not really a shock if he is forced into retirement. I feel sorry for him if he can't pull through as he felt he had/has more to offer the team. Good luck to himI See It But I Don't Believe It!!!! -
What a downer.
(Thanks Lucky!!)
I was only saying last night that I wished Braddles would hurry up and come back so we can free Goodesy to the midfield.
That's heartbreaking. I'm gunna give him a special hug on Thursday.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

We don't need Bradshaw to be contenders. The way things are going, it would be disruptive and counter-productive to bring him back.Comment

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

+1 for me. Bradshaw was one of the very best forwards in the league. He changes us from a team of competitors to something much more...I really hope he gets back if for no other reason than it would be very sad to lose two players in these circumstances in one season.Comment

I think that if Braddy plays another game of AFL it would be surprising. His conditioning must be appalling now and not going to get better. His heart must not exactly be in it any more either. He has lots of friends now with the Swans. The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment

Silly to say that his admission to the team would be 'disruptive'
He was great for us in the few games he played, and hopefully he can get back to full training and be back towards the end of the season.
Doesn't sound great though, and probably an opportunity for those who hate recycling players rather than using the spots for draft picks to put their 2c in. (we probably should update taht to 5c these days for obvious reasons)
If he doesn't play again, he will go down as a 'bad move' by the Swans, but IMO he was worth the punt and sometimes bad luck just happens.
Kind of rams home that professional atheletes often suffer injuries that not only end their careers, but also provide for a lot of discomfort after retirement.

Good luck to him.
At the time Voss was absolutely crucified, but retrospectively got a great trade with his "inside" information. Still shouldn't have made the trade, but karma saw to him.The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Well, if you think we need Bradshaw to be contenders, but don't think we'll see him again, it doesn't leave us with much hope, does it?
You can't say that after his performance in last year's semi against the Bulldogs. I still think it was a mistake to play him in that game.
Of course we can say it. Missed a couple of crucial goals but 9 marks, 13 possessions and 7 shots at goal first up for 3 months. You're a hard marker. I think we would've been beaten by a lot more without him.Bloods
