great to see the focus on afl up here . now if they could follow up by ... say ... playing tonights game and a time suited for humans that would be even better

Unfortunately, if you live in Sydney and beyond and you want live AFL you only have one option - Foxtel.
Waiting for 7 to show the Friday game at a reasonable time let alone live is like waiting for Julia Gillard to have children.
Jack Gibson, the late rugby league coach had quite a few of these in this situation. My favourite - waiting for Cronulla to win a grand final is like leaving the porch light on for Harold Holt.
Well that's the comparison. I pay for Foxtel, I just gave up other unnecessary things in life that cost me lots of money and brought me very little enjoyment - the wife
Now I can go to ressies games and sit with my pal Big Al instead.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

two things about that ...
1. i am in the (painful) process of getting foxtel - painful because my building is an old one and not really designed for such modern conveniences
2. i have never been to a ressies game but i was considering going this saturday. can someone enlighten me regarding the ticketing situation .. i am a swans member ... will that get me in early to see the game?
apologies for straying off topic...

If you have a membership card that is valid for this year then you can just turn up and walk in.
The ressies start at 3:50pm so it makes a day of it. You get to watch the development of the juniors and progression of senior players coming back from injury.
If you are sitting in an unreserved seating area, then by getting there early, you get a better seat. Where is your seating allocation?

Whoohoo another Swannie to join the Watchers! Been doing this for years, and its great. You watch the kiddies grow up, can plot and plan the future for them. On top of this you can make well informed observations about them and join the 'I knew that!' club of R&W know alls. Welcome.
If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhood
If you get there early happy, Come over and say hi. We'll be opposite the centre circle in the Brewongle. I've attached a photo which will make it easier to spot us.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

We sit up in the stand. However you can get up there via the Churchill Stand lift if there is no one on it. Which there usually isn't at the start of the ressies game. It's level 5.
