    Sunbelievable

Is this the day the Sun finally rose on the AFL? Solar proves the better form of Power........

40 points down late in the third quarter and Gold Coast finally arrive. AFL expansion is alive and well.

"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Fantastic stuff, I'm genuinely happy for them. If they can get a few pre-seasons into those kids and retain the vast majority of them they are going to be a force for quite a few years.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Considering their last quarters till now have been awful, getting overrun badly in each of them, to turn it around the way they did is a fantastic achievement.

Ironic that the history that has been made was against the team with the words "it's history here in the making" in their club song.

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I'm genuinely pleased for the Suns.

Makes sense that with the colours they've chosen that they'd be a club full of passion and heart.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

They certainly gave us a hint of how scarily good they might be in two or three years time - on a consistent basis. Their clearance work and some of their skills were very impressive.

Not to take anything away from the Suns, to come back from 40 points down in that amount of time is always a laudable achievement. But look at theouts for Port: Brogan Cassisi Pearce KCornes and Rodan subbed off near the last - that is their A team midfield not playing. The B team were slaughtered in the last quarter by Rischitelli, Swallow, Harris, and co

K Cornes was dropped, not injured. I know coz he's in my DT. Even full-strength you never know with the Power, though.

I agree wtih Liz these guys look scary but for now I'm enjoying Matera, Smith, Dixon in particular.

I'm just glad that monkey is off our back now.
I was worried we may be the first to loose to them.

Pretty much the same outs when they came from a similar margin behind to beat Adelaide last week.

I just wish I listened to David King on AFL360 last Wed night when he said the Suns would win because Port are the biggest headcases in the AFL.

                        That's right he did to.

How can you go from beating Adelaide the week before after being 5 goals down to giving up a 40 point lead at home against the Suns. If they were a Racehorse you'd have the vets in.

And if they were the Pakistan Cricket team the Anti-Corruption squad would be all over it.

But it's just Port Adelaide. Which other side could finish Minor Premiers and bomb out of the finals two years in a row?

Something weird happens with the Power in the Showdowns. While I didn't think they would lose to the Suns, the fact that they did is in keeping with their season thus far, the Crows game apart. For some reason they are just a different side when they play the Crows.

Was watching the game with my Port Adelaide supporting parents. They were speechless. Jeez that club put their fans through some @@@@.

Normally I'd sympathise as Port are my second team. But that was an unbelievable quarter (plus 3 minutes) and I think they'd have pushed several other sides with that effort. The Suns' midfield combination is going to be terrifyingly good in 3 years. Probably better than the West Coast 05-06 midfield. Swallow, Bennell, Ablett, Harris, with ZSmith rucking...
