    Everitt

    Anyone want Vez back yet?

It might be a tough job as a sub but this guy has a heart the size of a flea and no appettite for a contest.

Not up to AFL standard IMO, although I'm sure supercoach will keep gifting him games

x factor, ability to impact a game, desire to actually want the ball and make a contest even if his fitness wasnt up to scratch, at least he had a go

Everitt is average but I think it's safe to say we didn't lose anything with that trade. Cancelled each other out in the end.

I know this sounds strange, but I think Everitt could make it as a full forward.

Saw him play a few times for Williamstown and he just has that look about him. I know he doesn't have sticky fingers but a FF nowadays is more about a lead up and mark. Def don't see him as long term defender.

Everitt could be alright for us... Vez just didn't make it at Sydney. He is not a Substitute player though, that I am sure of.

From what I have seen he clearly is a tall wingman and plays exactly like waddy grin. He is simply unable to hold his position against kpp and therefore needs to play on much weaker forwards. Mattner is clearly better as the third tall defender.

I do think he has the makings of a forward who can present and lead and kick straight. We will see soon as the selection panel is shortly going to have to make some hard choices...and I think be braver in it's decision making. Sydney usually has very wet Easters and this has been no exception and has shown again how poor our style of seeking a leading forward can be when the conditions don't suit this approach to the game.

I would like to see him start in the forward pocket and play forward of the ball but to do so he needs to be able to defend and attack from there.

I just can't see him making it in the forward line closing down opponents which is what is needed nowadays. TDL would be ahead of him IMHO

After 5 goals, I bet he is a huge chance next week against the dogs.

Not necessarily. He had very little impact in the forward line until the last quarter. I am not sure quite when "junk time" starts in a game when you win by over 100 points in wet conditions and only concede one goal for the match, but TDL's goals were definitely in junk time. That is not to say TDL won't come in - just that he won't come in because he kicked 5 goals in that game.

LJ, TDL, Byron and Parker are probably all some chance to come in next week, though I suspect not all at once. I am not convinced about whether Parker is quite ready in the sense that he hasn't shaken the habit of trying to do to much in possession in heavy traffic but if Jack isn't right for next week, I don't think the coaches have much choice because we need someone else willing to contest hard on the ground.

LJ for either White or Everitt, Byron to add some zip anywhere around the ground, and TDL to add some class in front of goal - all would be decent additions.
