    Melbourne based footy shows

I was just watching before the game on one hd, and the absolute disrespect shown to Sydney and to Adam Goodes especially was indicative of the attitude of all Mwlbourne commentators. Dismissive of the incorrect 50m penalty, showing Goodes on field wearing glasses and a beanie, the man is a dual brownlow medallist and can't be trated like that, nor can our side, even though they drifted in the second half, it's not like they got flogged by 100. Maybe i have no sense of humour right now, after losing that game and being on the end of a bad decision that probably turned the game, altho that was already in the process, I'm just horrified at the bias, I doubt they'll ever do that to Judd or any other club champion. Don't worry about it overmuch GS - I watched it and chuckled. I wouldn't think they lack respect for the Swans after the way they drooled over Paul Roos last year (especially Samantha Lane) and exited by running through a banner.
And don't forget how Bobby Skilton's declining years have been brightened by the respect his old club now has.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I'd be worried if it were any show except Before the Game - their whole approach is to poke a bit of fun and show the lighter side of footy. Without having seen it yet (can wait till about 1am in Sydney) I'm guessing from what was described, it was a pisstake on the commemorative guernsey loking like something out of Where's Wally. Considering comments were made on this board about that very same thing, I don't see what the fuss is.

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
