    Round 7 - Western Bulldogs

This season is turning into a tipster?s nightmare.

This week, we play the Bulldogs, another one of our bogey teams for the past few years, no matter where we?ve played them. And that includes at our so-called ?home-away-from-home?, Manuka Oval, where we?ve played them on 4 occasions for 1 win and 3 losses.

Neither team is travelling well so far this season. I?m afraid that we?re just not as good as we?d like to think we are, but the Bulldogs seem to have passed their own peak of the last few years, and will be without our mate Barry Hall on Saturday.

This is a very hard game to tip, so I?m not even going to pretend I think I know what will happen. I?m just going with club loyalty this week.

Swans to bounce back on some hopefully dry ground. We got whipped for being too slow last year and Barry wiped Reg badly or was it LRT? Or both? I started to drink heavily after half time so my memory is hazy. It's a shame we don't have more pace out there. TDL HAS to play. Hanners has to get more involved in the middle and Meredith probably has to come in just due to experience to replace Kizza and give us a few more options out of the middle (unless they want to throw the Rig in on debut). We are looking extremely slow in the middle now without KJ so Goodes and Macca have to get very involved this week otherwise they will belt us in the clearances.

At least it'll be a nice drive and I'll win some money since I now know who'll win.

Just wondering if Rodney Eade has been in contact with you. ?

Not feeling confident about this game, history is against us and, after two losses, so is form. Dogs by 17.

I notice that there is an event in Canberra prior to the game which is buffet breakfast & Craig Bolton as guest speaker, would be nice to have something like this prior to a game in Sydney as it is not as expensive as the formal functions.

I'm not confident about this; who now will stop Cooney? Not to mention a few others. DullBogs by 3 goals.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Gia in will hurt us but Hall, Higgins and Lake out is a huge bonus!

Gia was well held by Shaw in the semi until things fell apart towards the end and he barely got a kick in the H&A with Smithy towelling him.

He can hurt sides, but I reckon he would not be happy with his return the past few seasons against us. That said, I guess he's due...

The poor surface of Manuka , oh no, that was the SCG that Rocket blamed for Cooney's injury.
