    Luke Parker

Thought his debut was short and sharp.
I liked what I saw, didn't seem to waste a disposal.
Look forward to seeing him again soon.

    Thoughts?

Good debut didn't see enough of him to get a good look but hopefully he gets a full game next week and we can see what he is really capable of.

Looked very composed and hit targets well, Probably earned a starting posi, maybe swap him with Gordon. Of course it is a bit easier to com on when everyone else is buggered, but he looks a player to me, in a dominant display by the whole side

Leave him in, bring TDL in for Gordon ? Either to sub, or even Jetta who only really played the last quarter anyway .

Pity the ground announcer called him Luke Power when he announced the sub was on. Quickly corrected to the correct name, but really... How hard can it be to read his name correctly?

Scoreboard had Josh Kennedy as the player subbed off. What the? Also, didn't announce the Port sub, I still don't know who went off for them. Not that it mattered much as the PA system is shocking around Bay 29.

I was going to mention the Luke Power announcement.

Then we had the Kennedy farce substitue. When are they going to fix the scoring on the Messenger stand?

Early days but he seems an incredible pick up at Pick 40. Be great to see him in a full game next week.

                      Stewart went off for Port.

Parker was pretty good, although it was a great quarter to make a debut. 'Composed' was the word Jason Dunstall and Roos agreed on. Hope he gets a full game next week.

Watched him from up on high as a bit of a "project", glad the SCG mob gave him a big welcome (subbed for Nipper), and he was always at the contest, knows where to go. Strong unit too. Saw his mum at the ressies match, and she was all a flutter and trying not to be wildly excited. THIS one was born in 1992!!!!! Oh gawd......

Ha, yeah, I think I audibly said "Ouch" when "Luke Power!!" was announced. Thought I'd misheard. He wasn't on enough for me to really judge, but with all that potential I hope he stays in and plays a full game next time.

Parks will no doubt takeover from ROK and Bolts in the near future ie next couple of seasons................at the ressie game I watched and pre season and now Seniors he appears in their mould............he will mount significant pressure on Birds role this season.............

The real question is speed and diversity ie the mixture of players we need for competing againsth thr run of the top 4 teams............Gordon came in first to experiment with a Senior spot as Gordons run and flexibility in different roles appeared a good mix for us and still might be.........where as Luke appears a real in and under midfielder who can go forward but at then end of the day you would prefer Bolts and Rok to slide forward when needed.

I am just stoked we have a junior Bolton type of in and under hard not coming thru that appears a 10yr type player in the making.................huge call but as long as he has the leg speed and endurance which has appeared to in the ressies this year he will be a long term player for us and a good'n !!!!

The future midfield depth is looking good for now and our recruiters have done a brilliant job in building enough genuine Senior players to rotate thru the midfield for many years to come !!

My first ever time @ the SCG I normally drive up for the Home Bush games, very happy with Parker he seemed to know where to run to get involved in the contest, its a shame he wasn't on for more time.
I did enjoy him spending every break kicking the footy with maxfield, he has a great boot on him!
