    Glass half full

    We're:-
    - sitting in 6th
    - above West Coast, despite all the hype that has surrounded their rise this year

    Eventhough:-
    - we have played some pretty average footy
    - we have had 5 debutants
    - we have a very inexperienced team
    - Goodes has been very patcy
    - we have not had a functional forward line
    - we are yet to play GC or Brisbane

Surely it is all up from here...

Brisbane accounted for Adelaide easily today, they were in control after quarter time. I don't rate Adelaide very highly after all Port beat them but the Lions were always in control. We still have Richmond, Carlton & the Pies to come, oh woe is me! We should make the 8 & if we do don't expect too much. I think the Western Bulldogs are the most overrated side in the comp & the Saints the most underrated this year just cos they lost the plot. But the Saints are back & we still have to play them yet.

        - havent done well at the scg yet
        - bradshaw yet to play and could come back late
        - won 2/3 without last years best and fairest
        - 6th and already played most of the other top 8 sides
Theres not much left to say

Yes, glass half full is a not unreasonable position. But after last night's effort, it would be dangerous to take Gold Coast Suns for granted.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Don't rely on Braddy ever coming back & he is not the long term future of this footy club. We are a different side this year & have more players that like the big ground rather than the close SCG. Jack & Mummy both back soon, Mummy next week & Jack in 2 weeks. Jed Lamb is available for the 2's this week & expect to see him in the seniors in about 5. Matt Spangher is a week away, Pykie is 2 weeks away & Rohan still has about 6 weeks. In 2 weeks everyone bar Rohgan & Braddy will be available & we will improve because if they don't improve they will get dropped because of the competition for places. This includes the Key posie players.

Biggest improvement to come from the selection panel...not from the players currently out.

Malceski yet to return to last years form, Kenelley well and truly has now!

                  Seaby will get better.

Bradshaw will play again, just a hunch.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Melcho's going great guns for someone who has just had the tupperware replaced.
