It'd be nice if it did work, but I don't think his finger's the problem.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Straight from the Horse's mouth yesterday:

Meanwhile, Longmire said he would like to settle down burly 23-year-old Jesse White - who has not played seniors since round six - in a permanent spot at full forward once he earned a recall.

"He's just been a little bit inconsistent in the past couple of weeks so we're working to get him back in the team as soon as we can," he said.

Actually quite pleased they are going ahead with Jesse even though my patience with him has worn out.I think in tandem with TDL they make a good combination. The best forward line if this is Longmire's plan would be

        TDL White McGlynne
        LJ Reid Bolton

With of course lots of interchanges that could see a ruckman there for a while.

Stranger things have happened.
Not sure Josh had a monkey on his back rather than more a victim of the Hawks having a pretty strong midfield and he was behind the eight ball with other tough in and unders like Mitchell and Sewell competing for that role that Josh has shown to excell in.

I understand what your saying and history is littered with examples of it, but monkey or no monkey, Hawkins is just no good, period.

My goodness Horse IS reading RWO. Hope Jesse does get back and play well but jeez it's frustrating waiting for him to come good.

I think White is a better option, and that's really something, because I can't see Jesse developing much further, appears to not know how big he is, something, I have no idea really lol

I like Horse's thought process re Jesse. Hold him back in class until he can make it and not overburden him with too much at this stage. Careers have been stymied by poor timing and unsympathetic coaches. Jesse definitely can be a KP, and for a big bloke like him its kind of weird seeing him struggle with his own expectations and probably perceived expectations of all us over the fence hangers. Encouragement from us and the bosses, and belief from himself. I know the boys rate him. It will be inspiring to see when he starts rating himself.

You know I've gotten that feeling a number of times - particular with some semblance of Forward Structure last week.

I always got the feeling that Roos was intentionally ignoring us!

Of course, it could be one of our ambitious assistant coaches reading RWO and then coming up to Horse with "Hey, I've got an idea that could be worth a shot..."
