The weather was awful, and it's the 3rd of 6 home games that have been in bad weather (this one probably the best of the 3, in the end). The attendance to the other 2 has still been pretty strong, despite the weather. I don't blame people for not coming today.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Nostre Damus. I was right there next to you, perhaps.

My daughter and I lasted through the drizzle and were singing in the rain at the full time siren. Having travelled up from Melbourne, we were never going to pike it.

Good crowd. All things considered. Made some good noise when we had to.

          Good crowd considering the conditions.

I have my spot in the Noble Stand well under cover. Not this game. the rain drifted in and we all got wet. All the seats were wet right up to the walkway. Got my thermals on. Not enough. Going shopping for a WOOL or PASHMINA scarf to wrap around my face. If it seemed a little quiet I was clapping with gloves on (poof poof poof, its not the same sound). Left not long after full time. Pelting rain. Ran off my weather proof head and body cover, needed wipers for my glasses, inside of my car now smells like a wet animal. I don't say I like a wet day game, its just that it hasn't yet occurred to me to miss one because of rain! One day it will I am sure. But not yet.

BTW. Didn't mind this mob of Tiger supporters. Seemed even half way reasonable.

Yesterday would have been miserable if we'd lost. Getting the four points somehow is a very warming feeling!!! Felt like it was going to snow at times it was so cold, even up in the MA Noble. The Clubs been very unlucky to have such crappy conditions for three games ( Carlton, Cats and Tigers) which would ordinarily draw thousands more through the gates.

I think what people need to remember is that this is a winter sport. We have just come out of a 10 year drought and we are now returning to normal rain fall. The drought meant we have been spoilt with the weather for watching footy. I remmeber sitting at the Lake Oval in the pouring rain in the 70's whilst watching the game being played in a mud heap. But then my wife asks me about the dinosaur races at half time when I mention that at home!

That wasn't the wettest but had to of been the coldest with wind chill of our SCG games this year. I managed to not put a poncho on sitting down the front of Bay 29, I did get wet but it wasn't terrible. I think the lack of goal scoring made me feel the cold as I warmed up again at the end of the 4th Quarter as the boys lifted again.

Our seats are front row downstairs in the Messenger Stand. When we arrived the whole of the front row of seats was wet; we had our Prem Club seat cushions and the people either side of us had brought towels. Because of the wind, the rain and the runoff from upstairs blew in through the whole match. All made the whole thing uncomfortably damp, but so glad we went to see the win. It was illness rather than weather that made it a question yesterday morning.

Ahhhh, the beauty of being red zone members and sitting in the Noble -
nice day=front row, in the sun and warm,
wet day=up the back, undercover and dry!

Down front of the Noble stand, was nice and rugged up, 3 ponchos buttoned together, gloves and a lovely swans 'throw' underneath. Didn't want to leave at full time as was so warm and toasty.
