OK, I was youngish, but Teaser's 1977 season is close to the best I've seen from a Swan.

75 metre torp for a goal at the 'G' is a great memory. Teaser used to take 'mark of the year' every week - well at least at the Lake!

Sure as hell not forgotten by me. Look closely people.

His '77 year was one of the best and most dominant seasons any individual footballer has ever played. Makes that @@@@@@@@ Sheedy's nomination of Teaser as an undeserving Brownlow medallist particularly moronic, even by his own dismal standards.

Teasdale was a great player but unfortunately injury took its toll. By the time the Pies got him South knew he was knackered. His knee was always bandaged and he couldn't turn sharply. Pity but probably due to playing on those old grounds where the surface was anything but nice especially in the wet. The Lake wasn't called that just because Albert Lake was just next door, some old footage sees the Lake 2 foot under water at the cement boundry end. Glenferrie was terrible in the wet as was Windy Hill & the Junction. About the only suberbsn ground with a great surface was Princes Park.

Not by me, he was my hero. Had 20 on the back of my jumper and Footy Jacket.

That was against melbourne wasn't it? Off about 3 steps, from inside the square (when it was a 50 m square) through at almost post high. He played the first few games of that season at Full forward, then was thrown into the ruck from about round 3 or 4 and won the Brownlow in a canter.

In one of the Motels in Charlton there is still a life size print of the mark he took against North in round 22 of the 77 season.

                        Lol

The reason I said forgotten was due to the fact he had no profile in the Wiki.
But that has been taken care of now.
