I actually feel empowered that my thoughts and opinion can influence the players behaviour. Now boys - "wash my car, wash my car"In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

Currently trying to get through to Ticketek to book a seat for a friend-they have been engaged all day, starting to get frustrated.
Personally I'm heading to the game determined to stick it out and support the boys no matter what, I also plan to insult as many ****ingwood supporters as I can, of course this means lowering my usually finely crafted insults so they lucky recipients will understand them, but sacrifices must be madeChillin' with the strange QuarksComment

I gotta say I'm lucky I don't live in Melbourne. I've been down for the GF and also a few other games and it's so different watching a game when opposition supporters out number you. I'm too used to kicking back in the O'Reilly stand, enjoying the afternoon with red&white all around. Anytime i encounter stupidity from opposition supporters my blood boils and I begin to morph into someone i'm not. Can anyone from Melbourne here tell me if things get really heated at AFL matches down there?? I almost got into trouble at the Carlton SCG match for trying to shut up a few Blues supporters and wasn't far off it with some Geelong and Richmond ones too. Always makes it easier when we win of course because you let the scoreboard do the talking but geez - i could be in trouble this Saturday night. There are going to be 10/20 thousand of them.

This is what made it tougher for me. They're kicking skills are much better though it has to be said. They tackled well too yesterday. But I do agree. Was very hard to listen to Ch7 crap on about how great they are when we made things much easier for them. Until the 3rd qtr Carlton weren't really kicking goals and we had set shots going out on the full!! We made them look very good yesterday and that really irks me. CH7 were spewing out rubbish in the 2nd qtr and we were only 19 points behind through fault of our own. I truly hope we meet them in September. I'm praying in fact.
As much as I want to @@@@ing beat Collingwood, I just can't see it happening. Swan, Jolly and Thomas to come back into a team that embarrassed the Demons by 88. If the Pies don't win the flag I will be shocked.Comment

I think we're probably better placed going into this game having bveen beaten comfortably than if we had have won.If we'd beaten Carlton, we would've gone in over confident and been smashed. I still think we'll lose, but after a performance like last week i beleive they will be fighting to win back some respect this week. The swans dont tend to get smashed two weeks in a row ( only 6 goals in the end, but it was a smashing ). Also, playing Carlton is a fairly decent warm up for Collingwood, there pressure at times yesterday was collingwood like. We should be well and truly aware of what we will be up against this week, the question is, is there anything we can do about it ?Comment
