Don'tknow if this is the right place for this comment but I watched WC demolish Carlton and they did what we should have done but didn't.Rather than worry about Carlton's pace and the need to match it and go small, they went tall. Make Carlton worry about them.On a dry day its hard to be too tall yet all year we have played one ruckman most of the time with LRTor White as a back up. WC has Lynch,Cox Natanui and a bunch of other tall good marking guys who killed Carlton in the air.

Its all about being pro active not reactive and backing your best guys. I would have no problems with Currie White,Pyke and Mummy all in the same team.We just might kick some @@@ like WC did .

There's a thread on this already in General Footy Chat

And we DID go tall - LRT, Seaby, Mummy, Reid and Goodes - in hindsight probably one too many. It was our midfield that got smashed which meant that we couldn't deliver good ball to those talls.

It was the Jack sub for Everitt that hurt us...and possibly the reason Everitt was so ineffectual.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

          LRT won't be suspended.

Given that he only had it twice, that's not much of a positive influence!

If I was TDL and saw Bevan and Everitt put in the forwards in front of me then kicked another bag in the two's ,my agent would be talking to GWS and I would be making plans to walk out the door and keep walking.

I'd be very surprised if LRT got done for a spoil. Interesting to see Cloke playing just like his dad.....staging to try to get frees.

I have NO issue with Bevan in the forwards as I believe that he gives us a lock-down type up there. His best games for us have always been as a forward. My ideal would be to somehow get TDL and Bevan up there somewhere at the same time.
Please, please, please, forget Everitt though.

Obviously we are fighting for the finals and trying to stay in the top 8 in 2011

We have had to walk a very fine line in blooding players within a structure that can be competitive and man on man dependable.

Obviously you can put in too many inexperienced players at once if we wanted to be Top 4 or Top 8 competitive this could have blowed up in our face

                      BUT

we are now in a different position as Sam and AJ have had some real game time and are doing better then anyone else we could slot in anyway. Now that Sam is up and running we can have two targets and that has to be White.......we need to persist with him just like Dawes was used as the decoy for Cloke on the weekend !

the Swans are now at another level of resilience and flexibility !

Everitt out due to form i say LJ can play upfront if need be also. LJ is more confident and decisive and we need him to go to the next level

                      my team this week

                      Sydney Swans
B: Nicholas Smith, Ted Richards, Martin Mattner
HB: Tadhg Kennelly, Heath Grundy, LJ
C: Rhyce Shaw, Jude Bolton, Kennedy
HF: Ben McGlynn, Sam Reid, Lewis Roberts-Thomson
F: MACCA, Adam Goodes, Ryan O'Keefe
Foll: Mark Seaby, Craig Bird, Daniel Hannebery
I/C: Paul Bevan, Jesse White, Nipper, Mal

I have gone for Nipper given that Macca, ROK and Goodes float back in the midfield rotation quite a bit and Nipper can be a dangerous player in the forwards and rotate back in the midfield when needed.

PS let LRT be the pinch hitter !! note White..............its time to roll the dice again with White

Emg: TDL, Parker, Rohan, Lewis Jetta, Everitt

They are saying test for Pykie & that normally means about a week away & I would think a couple in the Resies. I like the idea of giving Currie a go as he can be exciting & throws his weight around like Mummy & we could do with more aggression, more killer instinct. The latest is Jacks' injury not as bad as first thought & will be tested in training drills during the week to see if the soreness abates, if not prob 1 week. Jesse doesn't seem to be up for it even uninjured, he has to get stronger & I think a course of strength work with the fitness guys would be good. I like to think we might have some room for Byron

I don't know anything about Cuz except what I saw in the pre-season last year and it was clear that whatever he's got it ain't aggression.

The good news is Keiran just might come up for this week. Sounds pretty likely for the following week.

                                Ins:

                                Jack (inj), Bevan, Everitt

I really hope White and LJ keep their places, but I think LJ may dropped.
