He set himself up for success with the Swans TV work which as soon as I saw the first one it struck what a great communicator he was - and how he kept it up-tempo despite the long periods of injury. I recalled an article on the AFL site last year which talked about his education outside the game - completed a B.Comm and was undertaking a Masters:

And according to the wikipedia entry is also an accredited personal trainer

I for one am pleased to see he stuck around the club - hope he can resist the lures from other clubs when the assistant offers come in - love to see his laconic wit taking over from Horse at some point in the future

Lots of kudos deserved by Henry. I also suspect that he may have stopped the whinging about playing in Canberra that was so counterproductive. Am really looking forward to seeing them play this weekend.

I'll be heading down for the game Jesse. We will have to meet and say hi.

You've been relegated to the Twos this week Hugh? Does that mean there's a spot in the seniors?

No problem Sid... Although Ugg, Triple B and Primmy are the ones I'd be listening to. With my eyesight i'm probably getting Jetta mixed up with Currie.

Not to mention that you can't be trusted not to push for Kenny to be dropped in favour of the Powerade lady. ;-)

I use the Marty socks up/Reg socks down to tell them apart Al. Currie = socks up/Jetta = socks down. Apart from that I'm not sure how i'd tell.

I got to know Kenny reasonably well back in Eade's early days and despite what a few of the haters (jealous much?) would have you believe, he's a champion old bloke with a great passion.

But, time stands still for no man and if Powerade girl wants that spot in the middle of the circle, well ......... nice knowing you Kenny.

Pffft - I think they Powerade girl needs a few more seasons with the 2s.

Whoever the haters are (They exist? Really?? I hope you're joking.), I'm definitely not one of them. Kenny's an institution. Probably due for inclusion on the Heritage List.

                            .
I agree Kirkari, she can score but her pressure skills need a lot of work.

Henry was highly regarded at the Cats as having a very good footy brain. It was unfortunate that his career was plagued by injury as he moved very well & always sensed where to lead. When he came to us there was talk that he took the youner players under his wing & helped them which is probably why he has ended up in this role. Good luck to him I am only sorry we did not get to see the best of Henry Playfair as a player because he could be quite brilliant in his early days at the Cats
