Can we now, finally, and with prejudice,

Remove Andrejs Everitt from the selection table?

Look i know, we didn't deserve to win. But really, I'd prefer Paul Chambers.

Can we remove the skills development coach from the club ! How many more games are we going to lose due to inability to kick even the simplest of goals

Bollocks. He may not be in our first 22 but he's not bad as backup.

Ad he isn't the reason we lost (but he might have won it for us)

He's being played as a substitute FF. What do you expect him to do? He was @@@@ tonight, but playing him as the sub is the biggest problem. Early in the year, he was actually providing a consistent avenue to goal, and then was dropped, to be brought back sporadically as a sub. He's not a sub, he's not an impact player, he's a mark-taking, lead-up forward who needs to play a full game in order to have an impact. If Longmire can't get that through his head, then....
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

It's about time Lewis Jetta was dropped. I know speed is good to have in the team, but what good is someone who runs like the wind, but can't mark, kick or even handball to a target.

He's Jason Saddington mark II - the short man trapped in tall man's body. Ask him to play a key position at either end of the ground and he will struggle as he can't or doesn't know how to compete with the bigger bodies - gets outmarked, outpositioned and outmanouevred. However, play him as a runner on the wing and I think he has a better chance of making a contribution to the team. In general, his kicking skills are better than most of his teammates and he could be that useful link between defence and attack.

EDIT: I'm starting to think Jesse White is in this category too, but perhaps as a 'tall' crumbing forward given his above-par ability to compete when the ball hits the deck.

I hope so mocaholic. I really, seriously hope we've seen the last of him.

It's traditional for us to give the re-cyclers a good go, but enough is enough. We've got better options in the 2's, guys that can actually kick a goal.

It wasn't his fault we lost tonight -- it's the coaches for persisting with him. Their selection decisions are perplexing and increasingly @#$%ing irritating
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

Why the hell was he selected as substitute? He offers precisely zero as a substitute in dry weather, and offers even less in wet weather. Can't believe he missed that goal- that is absolutely inexcusable for anyone that wants to call themselves an AFL footballer. He didn't lose the game for us, but he SHOULD have won it for us. On the balance though, he has shown very little to say he is anywhere better than a last resort backup player.

Yes but he didn't stuffd it twice & the first time was a screamer, running to goal a teammate on his right & decided to kick off the ground. Gee!Even I would have picked it up & if I was going to be caught I had a teammate to handball to & he might just kick a goal if not I could pick ball up & kick goal. Not that hard really!!

Completely agree he's never going to be a good sub but got to assume he was the only travelling emergency so they didn't have much choice when Smith pulled out. I think LJ and Moore were the other emergencies and they both played in Canberra. Can only wonder who they were going to go with had Smith not pulled out?

The game plan lost the game for us tonight. Kick the ball long into a pack at all costs normally loses games, but that is what we did tonight. If we had LJ kicking out I would say go for it but we didn't we had Shawie & Marty & they certainly can't kick as far as LJ. By the way I thought when LJ took over the kicking in last week we started to do very well. He kicks soooo looong, 60-70 metres & can hit a player up, that was FAB!!! No it wasn't Everritt's fault we lost it was the Coaches & selection Committee. By the way the coaches knew Benny was not getting the best of it & left him for 3/4 of thegame before giving him a run on the ball. Tragic really
