Positives - our youth Reid, Luke, AJ, Dan, Jetts, Andrejs

I thought Sammy worked hard for not much result but the effort was there as every week.

I thought Luke Parker for a guy with only a few games played in Seniors can handle Seniors but as mentioned we have a few in and under players and he is only on the fringe of that.......where as ROHAN, Nipper etc can play outside due to more speed.

AJ had a good first game back.......couple of mistakes but in the conditions he picked up where he left off !

Danny H has been stepping up nicely the last 5 or 6 weeks and appears to being playing more open from the contest

Jetta I thought looked better........he looked a little more decisive and focussed......he is still a 50/50 unfortunately

Andrejs will continue to play a role only we have lots of injuries

Kennedy ! - only turned 22 a couple of weeks ago and is our rock

Rohan, Smithy and Jack next week would be nice to see !

God bless Kennedy! Agree with Parker, he's a real gutsy hard in player, reminds me of Kirk in a way.

Agree with all that but I think Everritt would have to step up a long way to satisfy me he deserves a place.

I think we need to completely overhaul our forward line, so its something like this
        FF: TDL, Spangher, LJ
        HF: Parker, Reid, McGlynn

This allows us to use Goodes in the centre. I know it is a very young line up, but there is no point using all faces who have had it, like Bevan and using Everitt who is frankly not that good. Sure for a year or two they will struggle as they mature, but when they do, it will be one of the gun forward lines in the competition. Im willing to risk a year or two out of the top 8 for a serious forward line

I think he is good enough to play footy at this level. I mean I reckon he's better than Sean dempster. But I still reckon he's a tall wingman and not a ff or a tall defender.

Here here, Goodes to rotate centre and wing and occasional forward entry. Our forward line is non existent and we show no sign of making something happen, (see my Mad post) we must make the opposition accountable, that's converting but also having targets and goal kicking smarts, TDL seems to be the only one! Bevo and Parker will kick goals in the NAFL or whatever it's called but not against top AFL defences. I agree chuck Spangher in Lewis Johnstone and Reid rotating through pocket and flank TDL must be in, bugger this forward pressure crap what use is it if we never kick a bloody goal. Reid's marking 80 metres from goal and nothing forward of him. The forward coach is probably paid $150k a year or more, I'd like to see his kpi's and mid term report.

Fair enough if you include him in the body of the post....but to include him in the title is inexcusable!

We actually would be doing better IMO if we had never recruited him! We might have been forced to play TDL more.

The intent was to say that 5 out of 7 will be quality seniors for us for many years to come...........it was pretty clear that he will only get game time when we have key players out thru injury

I'd swap him for Dempster in a heartbeat, in fact I'd swap him for Ed Barlow as well

His level of intensity and attack at the ball for a bloke his size is pathetic, he's hasn't got any football smarts and he is as clumsy as they come

I really hope hanners works on his kicking..for such a promising good player he is one of the worst butchers by foot in the AFL.

I guess Paul Kelly was the same.

You may well be right but he has yet to step up

Could you imagine Everitt playing on James Kelly or Sharrod Wellingham on the wing? It's a laughable proposition

He either grows a pair and plays key position/3rd tall or he ends up on the scrapheap

I don't like all this we have a good young list coming through so it will a be right, so do many other teams like Melbourne, Richmond, Gold Coast and you can add GWS into that list as well. I know that our players are going to (hopefully) be very good footballers but i only see Sam Reid and maybe Hanners being the A Grader's who can change a game by themselves, whereas I believe Gold Coast will have plenty (Swallow, Matera, Lynch, Zac Smith, etc...) Gold Coast will be very scary in a few years, right when we are supposedly going to be back up the top.
