So there he has remained stereotyped as a forward. At Under 16's he was a star running out of the backline and pumping the ball deep into the forward line. Because he is a leftie and has a big turning circle it has always amazed me why Melbourne persisted playing him forward.

Well he is quite a lively forward when he's on,and that left foot can be just as damaging kicking at goal.

If the swans were to look at him it would be as a forward also,as we have enough backmen as it is.

The Mitch Morton call is a good one,i really think he is worth looking into, got all the talent in the world and if he can get his life together could play some great footy.

Matthew Bate is someone id look at as well, have seen him play some great footy for Casey this year and for Melbourne last year.

Another one from WC who I think we could look at is Andrew Strijk. Played a few games for the Eagles last season and looked really good but hasn't been able to break into the side this year despite good WAFL form.

Yeah Callum Wilson for mine should be talked to for sure,we really need to acknowledge pretty much every team has a better forward line than us and probably have guys in their seconds who would still walk into our forward line.

Andrew Strijk is an interesting call,i cant say ive heard of him,is he a forward or?

Blake Broadhurst form Subiaco interests me and could shape as a mature age Podsiadly type, seems to have really hit his straps the last 2 seasons.

At 25 he's certainly not past it and last year became only the 2nd player after Brian Taylor to win all 3 age levels b&f's at Subi.He kicked 56 goals for the season last year and has 45 from 13 games this year which is pretty impressive seeming Subi had a poor start to the year.

    Article on Broadhurst....

SUBIACO'S Blake Broadhurst stands as the WAFL's leading goalkicker halfway through the 2011 season - and with good reason.

I personally think we need at least one or two more forwards and dont believe we have the guys presently to take us forward, bar Sam Reid.

Robbo maybe you could make some comments on the guys im about to list from the WAFL if you know anything it would be much appreciated as there looks to be a wealth of goal kickers over that way at the moment. Can you tell me anything about Broadhurst,Geappen,Del-Ollio or even what you think of Callum Wilson?

Sorry mate didn't mean to have a go at ya. The only one I would look at from the WAFL is Callum Wilson. I think we should stay the hell away from guys like Hawkins and Dawes. Just my opinion.

Another one from WC who I think we could look at is Andrew Strijk. Played a few games for the Eagles last season and looked really good but hasn't been able to break into the side this year despite good WAFL form. He is twice the player of Brad Ebert, Chris Masten, Adam Selwood, Hacktrick McGinnity etc.

I've always liked the look of Bate and thought he has some potential if he's put in the right hands...

I assume Addison is only linked to us as he's a Sydney boy who is struggling at the Bulldogs. I'd see him as a depth player only...

No point recruiting Morton, he'd kick bags in Canberra every week but be would be pushed out of the 22 by Everitt due to his lack of forward pressure
