Nothing much further to say on the subject. The reason I classified Richmond as only a probable '8 pointer', is that by the time we play them in August, they may well be out of the running. The other 4 games are near certain contests where the two teams are fighting for a Finals position.

We are going to regret losing giving the points away to Adelaide - we always seem to have a game or two like that

We'll have the opportunity to win both games. It all depends on how straight our forwards feel like kicking on the day.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

Totally agree! Normally I get over a loss pretty quickly. Not this one however; still stuing over that one. A bad lost indeed.

Every team has its flat days: Geelong just had two in a row. In any case, I'd rather take our bad days than North Melbourne's.

With a near full-strength side we can surely beat Freo without Sandi. Sportsbet has us at $1.25.

We just have to give a Swans debut to a player, and we are guaranteed at least two points.

                  Swans debuts 2011

R1 Melbourne A (Andrejs EVERITT, Byron SUMNER) - Draw
R3 West Coast A (Alex JOHNSON) - Win
R7 Western Bulldogs A (Nathan GORDON) - Win
R8 Port Adelaide H (Luke PARKER) - Win
R10 North Melbourne A (Lewis JOHNSTON) - Win
R16 Gold Coast A (Matt SPANGHER) - Win

We still have Currie, Lamb, McNeil, McKaigue, Kruger, Otten and Haren up our sleeves

Seven still to debut, seven rounds for us to play before the end of the home & away season?
                    Coincidence?

Can't you see............... that it's the 12 point games which have been devalued to 8 points. However, they can't be 8 points because then the teams that only get 4 points would get jealous. So we have to not mention the 8 point games.

Bonus 2 points for a blockbuster plus an additional 1 point if you can pick the block busted!

I don't like our chances against the Dockers for one reason - 80% chance of rain on Sunday and you all know how well we have played the SCG in the wet this year.

We could stretch a lot of tarpaulin covers over the top of the SCG and make our own roofed stadium...

Maybe, though if there are two teams who have traditionally been even worse in the wet than the Swans have it is West Coast and Freo, probably because they get less rain over there than we do, even in our dryer seasons. I think we have actually improved our wet weather footy over the past year or so. It is still not great but I don't automatically pencil us in for a loss any more playing in the wet (against anyone other than the Eagles or Dockers). And at least we've had plenty of practice this year.

                              It's your clasic eight-point game.

I was really thinking of last years game when the Dockers smashed at the SCG in the wet, 100 - 63.
