If you remember Gigantor was absolutely killing it and we had no ruckman as we had lost Seabs a few weeks earlier with his ankle and Mummy was suspended.
It's the opposite this year with our over abundance of rucks and gigantor injured.

With 3 tall forwards cramped into a wet and slippery SCG. Freo's defenders should be able to take advantage and run the ball out .
Once again we've got at least 1 tall too many, especially on what looks likey to be a wet track.
The selectors seem to be trying to make up for quality with quantity......Won't work.

Gee whiz the results this weekend aren't going our way tomorrow really is a critical game if the saints knock west coast off (and that looks almost certain at this time)

We were in the contest against Carlton until a few things went against us. Geelong played pretty well and have had the wood over us for years.

I don't think Fremantle's current form is anywhere near where the above two teams form was when we played them. I'm actually very confident tomorrow - rain or shine.

I fear you are right and am hoping for a weather change.
Its basic football! When its wet,go small. The ball will spill off the packs usually behind and the team that has fast small crumbers will gain possession and score. We need minimum of big guys to create a contest and bring the ball down. Amazing that they think its diferent at the highest level. We lost in the wet to somebody because we had no one at the back of the packs. This game should be a field day for Mc Glynne,MacVeigh,TDL, etc. Thats simply how you play wet weather football and its common knowledge. Do we have the cattle?

It's not just the next two games that are "8 pointers".

Just about every other game this season falls into that category, with the exception of the Round 23 against Geelong (which is hard to see us winning), and Round 24 against Brisbane (which is hard to see us losing).

Essendon and Richmond in Melbourne, and St. Kilda at ANZ, are not exactly going to be strolls in the park. And the results of the Essendon and St. Kilda games in particular will probably decide whether or not we get a home final.

Gee whiz you're confident. There is a really good case for us not making the finals unless we win one or both of those. You have to assume that Richmond are the only side that are gone from here. We are playing sides which are on their way up (dogs saints) or away or both. I am just hoping that we meet the tigers as they played yesterday which might give us two more wins (assuming the lions will also be very beatable).

Not shore I agree. Maybe we could harbour thoughts of a home final, or coast into the top 4, or even play some beach footy, but shorely we wont shore up a home final. That's like saying the LRT went to sure.

(late edit to make clear I am not having a go at msb, but playing with the idiom itself)

I can't really see where four wins are going to come from. Do we really have three wins and will 11.5 be enough given the number of other wins available from other clubs ? I don't think we can beat the Geelong or Essendon away. That leaves the saints at anz, dogs at the scg, as being fifty fifty games.

Well I dunno about 8 point games, but I saw a ridiculous 12 point goal today so anything is possible.

Thanks to the Doggies loss our 8 point game was reduced to 6 points.

That technically means that next week we have another 8 point game or it's only 2 points if we lose.
