    The captaincy

Wanted to get a feel for who we all think should be captain.

While I love Goodesy, I don't think he quite possesses the ability to be a natural leader.

    Alternative options welcome!

I think Jude Bolton should lead the Swans until he retires and then hand the captaincy down to Jack.
This multiple captain thing is really annoying me, I dont really see the point, takes away from the uniqueness and respect of a captain IMO.
I dont think McVeigh is captain material, but then again behind the scenes apparently he does alot. And I also believe that Goodes is too much of a showman to be captain, you need a tough down to earth kind of guy like Kirk was, and Bolton and Jack are.

Agreed, Jude would be an amazing captain. Jack will be one day,for now I feel he is a little too young, he should be given the time to focus on his own skills before he leads the team.

Pre this season I was happy with Goodes as co-capitain, mind you he did have some awesome power on his side.
This season I just don't see the leadership the team needs.
That being said I have no knowledge of the behind the scenes and how he and Macca function as capitains off field.

              I went Jack.
As much as I'd like to see Jude get the honour, and I'm sure he'd do a great job, I think it's time for some longevity in the job. And no one of the youth has as much heart as Jack.

                Jude for me.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

I went Jack as well. He is the long term leader of the club imo and his influence on our team is continuing to grow (i.e. just look how much we miss him when he isn't there). Maybe not quite ready yet but that's fine as Goodesy and McVeigh will be around for a while yet.

Jude without a doubt. Amazing courage and heart, inspirational.

Gotta be Jude. I don't know why he hasn't been given a go at it. I picked him as captain material when Kelly was still playing for us.

Me too. But I think it has passed him by.

Unfortunately i don't think there is a stand out captain on the team. Granted i don't know what happens in the inner sanctum. Hopefully with the new boys such as Hanners, Parker and more than likely Jack we have a maturing leader.

Just goodsey IMO. I think the captaincy may be a factor in mcveigh having not one of his best years to date, but that is purely a guess of course. He may feel more pressured each game to perform better than the others. It could be a factor, but who knows.

                              ehhhh

These polls are so pointless. Please just have faith in the club. None of us know better than any of the coaches or the players as to who should be captain.
