Shame it happened in a week when Walker took a mark some are comparing with Shaun Smith's from the late 90s (which I believe was voted Mark of the Century). I must admit that, while Walker's was good, I think there have been another 3 or 4 this year at least it's equal. I really like Pettard's. But either way, Walker's is a monty for Mark of the Week this week.

Yeah, Walker's got it sewn up this week, probably will get about 95% of the vote.

That being said, it is very exciting to see Sammy take big pack marks like this on a consistent basis (his great mark against Gold Coast a carbon copy).

We need to have a poll on when Sam is going to take MOTY.

I haven't been this excited about a player for years. Can't believe he is only 19. If those shoulders hold up I think he is the player we will be building our side around in 3-4 years time.

Let's just hope he doesn't join his brother at Collingwood!

Oohh, they are wearing the same number.....this could get interesting. Does big brother take precedent? Or will Collingwood try and poach OUR beautiful shoulders.

I'd let them have him - for Swan, Pendlebury, Daisy and Cloke.....

With both eyes open I prefer a great pack mark over a 1 vs 1 mark like walkers. More hits, lack of control and courage. Walkers is the better mark this week. But I'd prefer Krakours pack mark etc over it.

Me too. Walker's was a great mark (and he actually slotted the goal) but Reid's was a great contested mark.

Boys have referred to him as Buckets, because of the size of his hands.

How Sammy got to the Swans.

'Buckets' reminds me of Rex Jackson, the prisons minister who did time himself (not unusual for a Labor minister these days, but rare in the 80s).
