Encouraging to know that he definitely thinks he has two more years left in him, possibly more.

This man has been a credit to his team, his family and his brothers.
Mark my words, the end of his football career will only open up more opportunities for him to leave his stamp on Australian society.
But until then, he is already a footballing legend!

Some interesting comments from Horse in the following article
Whilst I am sure the comments are paraphrased and probably have a different meaning within what was no doubt a longer interview he has said...
"We understand what the competition is at the moment, but we are very confident that we have got the step-up at the footy club and the people involved to keep the people that we want to keep,"
It would have me wondering who the ones are we dont want to keep !!!!Red and white till I dieComment

Aaaah, the thought of being able to watch Goodesy for at least another 2 years! When he finishes, he'll well and truly be the club's games record holder and, who knows, may have joined Skilts as a triple Brownlow Medallist! A true legend of the club!Comment

I agree wholeheartedly with this post, I love watching Goodsey play his footy and have done since he first came to the club. Back when he started he was a very tall much slimmer (not that he is fat) young man, very respectful and polite. Now he is a very very well built man who remains respectful and polite. A true Champion and Gentleman of the game. I for one are as happy as a pig in mud that he will be around for awhile yet.Comment

This is all good news but I won't be truly happy with any signing until Sammy signs say a 10 year contract...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
