Thank you everyone for the kind words.

It was a cold and wet miserable day in Canberra but what warmed me up considerably was the second half from Jesse. He was thrown onto the ball after a typical clueless first half from him and things seemed to click. While he didn't have the motor for extended stints on the ball he did some clever things to set up play. Yes, I said Jesse and clever in the same sentence. Hopefully it demonstrates to him that maybe he can play this game.

Bulldog and Bevo are like scheming NRL halfbacks They direct a lot of traffic and get the ball themselves. While I don't think they fit into our best 22 I reckon GWS should look at one of these 2. They would be great for the youngsters about to come to their club.

Meredith and Seaby were both close to being BOG. Got a lot of the ball and both were very creative.

McKaigue and Otten continue to impress with Max playing down back today.

Rohan didn't get a lot if it but it was all about match fitness at this stage so it was good to see him run hard and blow out the cob webs.

Murphy was trying hard and was getting a lot if the ball but was let down by sloppy handling and before Primmy tears me a new one, it was wet and slippery, so he can be forgiven.

Jed Lamb was pretty fired up in the 2nd half. There were some niggle in the game and Jed seemed to be at the centre of it all. Showed some touches of class and kicked the goal of the day. A brilliant pick up at full speed, beat a defender and then slotted it from 40m. On a wet day it was pretty impressive stuff.

Apologies this isn't as comprehensive as Uggs and BSA5's fine work but hopefully it gives people interested some insight to the game today.

Thanks for the report BA! I'm hatching up a plan to get to the game next week, but not sure if it will come to fruition....
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

                      Thanks Big Guy!

Try not to get too good at this though, or ugg will extend his leave!

They were spot on about Lamb's touch. Clean handling in those conditions demonstrates he has a lot of skill. Looking forward to see how he goes 2nd game back on Sunday.
