    Which do we prefer.....?

An away elimination final to West Coast?
An away elimination final to StKilda?
An away elimination final to Carlton?

Believe it or not, I think we would be better off going to Perth.

I don't think we'll get that option. They'll be top 4. Maybe we'll be a chance for an away semi final in Perth!

Hard to truly comment as we haven't played the Saints yet this year, but I'd prefer them over Carlton. I think we match up better against them.

I just hope we get one of them.........Maybe West Coast, it would be nice to put them back in their box.

I don't think the Top 4 will change so i'd personally rule out Carlton.

I think it will be against Saints or WC and i'd prefer to play the Saints at the 'G.

Wouldn't an away final against St Kilda be played at Docklands?

A final at the MCG would be the best for experience sake.

I'd take whatever's on offer. And with our wounded back and firing I think we could beat any of them. Provided we kick reasonably straight.

Ah yes, sorry - I was getting ahead of myself as I think some of the Finals are contracted to be at the MCG? Just assumed it would be MCG if it was a Melbourne game but a first week final would be at Docklands i guess? I'm happy with Etihad. They can play them there as well : )

                * Just looked it up.

Week One: Games are held at the home teams' venue. If all four games would be held outside of Victoria, and the AFL needed to schedule a match at the MCG, it would be the 2nd Elimination Final that is moved to the MCG. If any of the four games would be hosted by a Victorian team, at least one of those is played at the MCG and all non-Victorian teams get their home games.

Week Two: The MCG isn't guaranteed a game this week. The home teams each host the match at their own venue. If both games would be held outside the State of Victoria, and the AFL needed to schedule a match at the MCG, it would be the 2nd Semi Final that is moved to the MCG. If any Victorian teams host a game, at least one will be played at the MCG.

Week Three: The MCG is no longer guaranteed a game in this week either. The home teams each host the match at their own venue. If both games would be held outside the State of Victoria, and the AFL needed to schedule a match at the MCG, it would be the 2nd Preliminary Final that is moved to the MCG. If any Victorian teams host a game, at least one will be played at the MCG.

Week Four: The Grand Final is played on the last Saturday of September every year at the MCG.

I would like Saints at home - which is still very achievable provided we beat them. Next up would be Saints away, followed by Wet Coke away. I'd love to do the Perth trip should it happen (the game earlier in the year was a pearler and the swans fans over there are great), but don't think I can afford to (off overseas for 8 weeks at the end of the year) unless Virgin comes up with some very cheap flights that are still available a week out from the game, which is a ~0.000001% chance of happening!

Just make it. We'll be some chance against any of them.

I'm with you Plugger. Don't understand those saying otherwise.
This year more than any in a long while is a two horse race so there are six teams making up the numbers and I'm pretty happy that we will probably be one of them.

Happy to talk finals once it's guaranteed we'll be there. We need to beat Richmond this week or it could be curtains. Having said that if we take Saturdays form into the next 2 weeks we'll belt the Tigers and Saints and then it'll only be matter of who we play and where.
