Nothing Mark could do. I bet he was fairly preoccupied in that game though. He and Jarred are apparently very close.
As others have said, it's not great to dwell on such things. All we can do is hope that the complication isn't "serious" (not that any are not serious, but you know what I mean) and that the little girl is alright. Macca will be given as much time off as he needs.
