If Maric goes to Richmond they probably won't need Seaby and Port are saying they're not so keen for another top-flight ruckman given the progress of Lobbe, so not a bad call.,

On the other hand, if Brogan ends up at the Giants they may not need Seabs as well.

Seaby is contracted for next year (3 year contract was one of the reasons for him moving here) so GWS will have to trade for him or wait till 2013

That would be a win-win if it happened. He's not going to get in ahead of Mummy and they clearly don't want to play them together, so his opportunities will be limited. Pyke is an adequate backup from our perspective, and we could use a good draft pick.

They have Pyke at emergency and not Seaby for Sat. Says a lot. Don't know what's going on , but...

The Brogan deal is one year playing and then go into coaching. There would be a spot for Seaby.

He has been very good for us in the games he has played in 2011 aswell, and if it wasn't for the new sub rule he would still be in the side.

Clearly a better overall player than Pyke, and I would be worried if we lost Seaby and Pyke became our 2nd ruckman.
Most definitley, nothing against Pyke but I would be inclined to put Currie ahead of him so if anyone is to be traded then I would shop around Pyke.

Over my dead body. No way known is some other side going to reap the rewards of the Swans and Pykeys hard work in developing his game. The improvement in him since he first touched an AFL footy is one of the more amazing things I've seen in footy. Also someone of his size and speed don't grow on trees. I've watched plenty of the reserves and plenty of Currie and i'm still not convinced he's going to make an AFL footballer.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Good idea. Develop Pyke into a potentially very good big man then trade him. Two weeks later Currie is injured again and we can start looking for our next one. I think Mummy has killed Seaby's career.

BTW Pyke is listed as a finals emergency this week. That shows how the club regards the ruck hierarchy no matter what the RWO ABP (Anyone But Pyke) brigade feel about it. It'd be brave to bring him in for this year's finals but I'm looking forward to Myke having his breakout season in 2012.

Agree. And if we had to bring him in, he might not do what Mummy can but I don't think he'd let us down.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Seaby Bevan and Moore to GWS this year? Exactly what they need, though would have to go through trades to make it happen. No way GWS would pick up an uncontracted swans player this year with Reid available next year.
