    Bring back Bevo

    There I said it.

The guy has been on the cusp. People question his skills and execution, well no one has ever questioned his heart, tenacity or effort. With soft bodies letting bottom of the ladder players run through us like wet paper towel then bring back the guy who tackles two at a time and stops them!

We know he won't give up, drop his head, sook for free's and he is a long kick, if our "gameplan" continues to be 95% of the time just to kick long down the line.

Oh he makes mistakes? Turns the ball over? Well look at half the side recently!

Tiger for rest, Bevan to take his spot.

    Responses should be fun.

You ahve to be jocking. A backwards step, try some of the youngsters and let them get the taste of seniors. We will go out in straight sets anyway even if we make it.

I agree except for one thing - not on the backline. I have said in previous threads that he is our best defensive forward and will present as well as tackle. We could do worse - oh, hang on, we have.

            Bevo in - Jetta out.

Add some much needed hardness and defensive pressure in the fwd line.

Yeah bring him in i say, cant hurt for the rest of this year anyway. There is only 3 games to go, 4 maximum as it will be an overnight stop in the finals no doubt (if we even make it) so bring him in to give us some hardness and yes I agree, jetta or kennelly out.

Agreed. Jetta is weak, both in body and heart. The good in Bevan far outweighs the bad. So, give the guy a go, because that's exactly what he'll give in return.

I've seen a lot worse footballers than Bevo but he really isn't going to take us anywhere. We've got enough senior players in the side so I'd prefer that Meredith, Parker, Rohan, TDL etc get games ahead of Bevan.

We could have done with just a touch of his heart out there on Sunday.

Bevo will never be a gun, but has heart and courage in spades. I have always rated him and appreciated the times he's thrown himself into a contest or took a strong mark in the forward line. Bring him back.

No, I am not a comedian.

We are becoming laughing stock, in the last 8 games we have capitulated to 2 wins 6 losses. Wins coming over a struggling Bulldogs outfit and the Gold Coast. We have gone from a top 4-6 chance on paper (5th spot as at Round 12) to struggling to keep our spot in the 8.

It's not time to give up, we are a proud club. Finals at a minimum would have been our seasons objective, with eyes on top 6. You can argue what did we expect losing our bookends blah blah, well everyone has injuries and we didn't have our bookends for the majority of last year either let alone our second ruckmen in Seaby etc.

Play the kids? We are, we just can't afford to play them all as well as under performing seniors regulars.

Play the best available team to get a win. If it's kids then it's kids. I doubt all will qualify on current form.

This week Horse should just have a player list and be ticking the "heart" or "no heart" column.

Bevo would be get a double "heart" tick so give him a game.

Pyke would qualify on that, too.

A few of the current seniors definitely would not.

I'm not opposed. At a minimum, it would boost his trade value. I really like Bevo, and I don't mind him at all at half-forward.

                              How about:

OUT: Kennelly, Jetta, Meredith (just not good enough)
                              IN: Malceski, Gordon, Bevo
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
