as alot of the people posting the threads have mentioned we have quite a few inside midfielders who are tough but lack that spark such as a left footed player who runs the lines and breaks up the play. danyel pearce definetly fits that mould and i really like him as a hard running outside midfielder with good skills. port are in trouble and i think we should pounce? yes or no?

yeah mate he would be a very handy pick up.. imagine the midfield. i think we definetly need someone of his type, honestly in a top 4 team he would be one of the biggest guns i rate him very highly or perhaps too highly. some of our trade bait with port having lost brogan, leaves us to give seaby which wont happen because port are terrible and he would most likely want to go to GWS. Meredith perhaps, or jesse white but i doubt many players would be in the slightest interested in going to port given the current circumstances.LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

3 years ago I'd have given just about any player on our list for him, but I've gone right off him since then. His workrate is just not up to scratch and hasn't been for a while.
He may recapture that spark, but it would be a risk and I suspect if he was to leave PA you would be paying over the odds because of the undoubted talent.
Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to see him have a shot here, but not at the price I think they'd charge.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

One of the more frustrating players to watch. Heaps of talent and I have seen him be a matchwinner but easily tagged and goes missing too often.
I'd take him but I suspect we'd have to pay overs to get him.Bloods

yeah..who do you think we'd put up for trade bait for him? and honestly i think alot of port players would want to leave given the current situation, i genuinely feel for them thoughLRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Would be a great addition, if gotten for a good price. I would suspect the trade will require picks, as stated above - who wants to go to Port? The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Not white, not bulldog. Doggy is too good a guard dog for the ressies at any rate. One of the best ressie nannies we have ever had. Got to be an ongoing asset, playing or not.
I still (gawdelpme) have faith, kinda when I am in a good mood thinking of the boys having to train in the wet today, in Jesse.
Danyl hasn't impressed me with his hunger to play. I mean even though Ted couldn't get a game at Essendon, he still played with his heart. I don't see that in Pearce. But I could be one eyed and wrong. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

I don't know, sure we could do with some more pace, but what we really need is a second forward option to foil Reid, once we get Rohan, Jetta and HAnners in the same midfield there's plenty of run, I'd be looking at younger players that can develop in OUR team, no fractures lolYou can't argue with a sick mind - Joe WalshComment
