Out: Jetta or AJ if he's injured.

I'm basing my optimism on a win at the Cattery on the fact Geelong is due for a loss there

I think we should pick the team based on their hairstyle.

That way, even if they lose they will still look nice and presentable.

Ha, ha. It becomes our GF now. Our purpose for the year.

If we can beat the Cats, we will be immortalised as the team that broke the Geelong home run of wins. Better than a premiership.

Well in 2011 anyway where we have zero chance of appeariing in the GF.

I like many have been a critic of Jetta's of late, but his last quarter was pretty good. I think they said he 4 tackles, and good ones, and at least one caused a turnover and goal. Maybe the side has to be up and running for him to be at his best. Does that make him a frontrunner, perhaps so.

And slot him straight back to full back.

Is there a McGlynn injury worry I don't know about? Otherwise, why on earth would you drop him? After some so-so form, he finally got his hands on the ball and did some really good stuff, while absolutely dominating Leigh Montagna.

Anyway, I'm torn about whether to drop Jetta or not. On the one hand, his first half was totally ineffective. 1 touch is simply not good enough. On the other hand, his chasing, tackling and gut-running all game, including the first half, was actually really impressive. I found myself screaming at players a number of times to get it to Jetta when he'd found space, but he got burned, which was disappointing for him. Furthermore, he worked his way into the game in the second half and actually really added something. On another day, he could have had a much busier day than he did, and if he was replaced, you'd think it would be for Parker, who has played 1.5 quarters in the last two weeks. For that reason, it's really hard to split them.

I also really want to get Gordon in there somehow.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

If LRT is fit i'd bring him in for Aj, probably needs a rest, young blokes may struggle, although Reid doesn't seem to be suffering. The way St Kilda stuffed everyone into their backline it's a wonder we got a touch in there at all. Rohan has to start the game, the kid has too much skill and speed to be sitting on the bench. Geelong aren't the fastest team in the comp so we might be able to run them around a bit, what they are is quick between the ears, so more experienced players might get a run I suppose they'll look at match ups during hte week, i can never figure them well

What's most important is that we compete right until the final siren. With the Bombers having one more game left against Port and the Sainters a couple of % up on us, we can't afford to drop %. It could be the difference between playing a home final or playing a tough road game first week.

I'd also like to see Nipper given a couple of games.
                          Malceski would be my omission.
He was ordinary yesterday, and sold others into trouble many times, particually in the first half when the pressure was hot.
I was surprised he was brought back in after only one week out.

Agreed. Mal used to be our best by foot but all of his passes into the forward line bounced in front of the leading forward or went wide. What has happened to him? Is is purely confidence? Knee? He needs a run in the magoos purely to work on those bullet passes of his.

A few knee reconstructions happened to him and they have robbed him of kicking distance. He used to have a nice low penetrating 50-60m kick but this seems lost. Yesterday, like the Mal of old, he took a quick handball and tried for a long goal only to fall well short. He needs to adapt his game style or his knee needs to get better.
