Great to see him resume where he left off. I'm sure the short run today was just to reacclimatise him to A-grade. He'll definitely get a full game next week.

He was fantastic, when he had the ball he was calm and confident. When he didn't have it he was running his arse off and getting to the right spots. And if he had an opportunity to impress himself on the situation he did, great intensity and harassment.

Starting 21 if they think he is fit enough to run out a game let him, if not start him and sub him.

he did what was asked of him and did it fabulously well - he is the future, and I cant wait to see him grow and get even better in the next few years..
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Just watching a replay of the game it was interesting to hear them recall how at the beginning of the year Gary was favourite for the Rising Star.

I personally think he will be better for the lack of game time this year as he was a late maturing player and his body is still growing and getting used to the rigours of full time footy. Can't wait to see him after another pre-season. Fingers crossed for no injuries - next year could be something special. I hope it is.

On Sunday I saw what it was that bugged me so much about Meredith the week before. Rohan has had a shocking year injury wise, he got his chance after so many problems all year and grabbed it with both hands. From the minute he took the field he was into everything, showing all and sundry that, no matter what, he was going to give it his all. Meredith the week prior, had the same opportunity after a similar dreadful run with injury, but instead of getting out there and showing us all what he can do, he loped around like he was playing park footy, no intencity at all.
Maybe I'm being unfair to Meredith as God knows the whole team, bar one or two, where guilty of it against Richmond as opposed to them all being switched on this week, but it just struck me that he had his chance to shine but chose not to.

Someone earlier mentioned that Gaz is a Goddard in the making.
Big call, but I could not agree more!
AND, there is plenty of time.

Rohan makes me excited. Everything he does is with enthusiasm and effort. Injuries have ruined his year, but he is bound for big things and I can't wait. I would like to see him get a full game against Geelong, but obvious that depends on his fitness. Would be nice for him to spend some time at home too. Sees like he would be prone to homesickness.

Goddard is a great comparison Royboy. Except Gaz wouldn't be so angry and serious all the time. BJ stalks across the field with narrowed eyes all the time, haha. I do love him and Lenny though! They make me like the Saints just that little bit.

Agree it's a great comparison, Rohan and Goddard.

Lenny's universally liked but surprised any non Saints fan could warm to Goddard. I'm sure the Freo Cheer Squad wouldn't agree with you.

Goddard = First class footballer, elite even, but first class flog as well...imo of course.
