Is McVeigh going to make the trip down, anyone know? Would make a considerable difference.

We haven't beaten Geelong at Skilled this century but we got close once or twice.Comment

Teams with a lock in the top four often fall off their game at the end of the home and away. Geelong's last defeat at Skilled was around round 21 four years ago.
So if they rest a few stars I'm upgrading my forecast from 'carnage' to 'embarrassing'.The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

Swans will give plenty of cheek at Skilled this weekend, what are they paying?"He was proud of us when we won and he was still proud of us when we lost' Tami Roos about Paul Sept 06.

Someone will take it.
I'm actually going this weekend. Got myself a gig at the Pres lunch. Be there with my Swannies colours on. Could be like Optus Oval in 1996 against the Blues. No one expected us to win that day, and when we got up, the locals in the Social Club became very hostile.
I remain hopeful of a repeat

Having watched a replay not particularly confident about keeping the margin of loss under 60.
If Koschitzke and Dawson were playing we would really have struggled. Losing your fullback and full forward is tough. To have it happen the day before a game is worse. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

What makes you say that? We didn't win because of our key forwards, or their lack of key talls. We won because we dominated in the midfield. Given McEvoy is a better ruckman than Kosi anyway (Kosi better up forward), I can't see how their inclusions would have made all that much difference.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

If they're worried, good. They might sense that something's not quite right with their team, something below the radar.
The key for us to win this week is getting off to a fast start. We've got to put scoreboard pressure on them straight away and just not let up. Easier said than done I know, but there was plenty of evidence against the Saints of that sort of relentless mind-set.Comment
