    Sunday's stats

Humourous misprint in today's Melbourne Herald Sun! It said the Swans got 33 free kicks to St.Kilda's 22!

Not a misprint. They were the official stats. I had the same figures on the Footy Live app on my phone, and I followed that stat at the end of each quarter.

Maybe it's because we were first to the footy for a change.

Still am not sure why there is no video referencing system for a game that has a lot of money gambled on it.
I can't think of any big game in the world that doesn't use it(even cricket uses it now).

The obvious one that doesn't use it is Soccer. If you think there is money being gambled on AFL, think of the cash being put on obscure games of soccer and some of the woeful calls that are made at times in it - yet the administration stubbornly won't introduce what would be a relatively simple piece of technology to see whether the ball went over the line or not.

I was a massive supporter of the introduction of the Video Ref into the NRL. However now I can't stand the bloody thing. They still get it wrong and it can hold the game up for ridiculous amounts of time. I actually enjoy watching the U/20 matches which relies on the refs and touch judges only.

I am not a supporter of video technology anymore. Bring in 2 goal umpires if you need too but let's get a decision and move on.

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

We were first to the footy throughout the entire last quarter, and got a bunch of in-the-back/high frees in our defensive 50 as the Saints players were getting desperate.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

I think 1 disallowed goal that was clearly a goal in the replay, then one of their goals that was actually touched by one of our players but cleared by the umps as a goal, makes up for the extra 10 free kicks we got.
